No matter how long ago it happened, I will always remember that day. Though I was not there myself, I was appalled at the news of so many lives lost. This might be one of the best videos, if not the best one, showing the behavior of the sea. Thank you for sharing it. Please consider adding English or more subtitles to it. BTW, your attitude when shouting at the people on the beach to warn them to run away was so compassionate. May those who passed R.I.P.

4:10 I may be wrong but I believe this clip is from Thailand, Patong Beach unless I’m mistaken. Still it’s a compelling video showing the raw power of Mother Nature. It’s also heartbreaking to hear the man filming screaming for people to get away.

That wasn't a boy, it was an adult man. He probably died of blunt force trauma and crush injuries before he drown.

I have Experienced a small tsunami caused by the earthquake of chiapas 2017 8.2, with a 1meter height, which still went about 100 meters in land

This incident didn't happen in Indonesia but happened in Thailand in 2004 in Khao Lak.

Stupid people, the 2004 Tsunami started in Aceh (Indonesia) and then spread to many countries. Thailand, India, Sri Lanka. The incident was more devastating in Indonesia because it started from there.
