Nice haul Tim. Lima did a good job with their King Class locos, yours even has the bell insitu. I don't mind tender drive locos, people think they are poor runners, but mine all run really well. Steven.

Thanks Steven, Yeah I don't have any issues with tender drive locos... I usually just service and oil them and they run just fine for me.... that one with the Pullman carriages needs a wheel clean but otherwise all 3 are a good score for me. Thanks for your comments.

The Tri-ang Class 3F Tender will have larger flanges so won't like newer Points. She was designed for code 125 Series 3 and Super 4 track. The Hornby Pannier Tank may have the same issue, still being of Tri-ang tooling. All 3 new loco's are in great condition. Great additions. 👍

Those little steamers are like the first one's I ever had in Scotland. Very nice.
@TimsBitsnPieces12 күн бұрын
Hi Dave.. I love the little steamers... The 0-6-2 was a bargain due to it not running correctly and someone removing the DCC board and hard wiring the motor wires to the pickup wires so it is DC only which suits me just fine... I did notice they ran the black texta over the DCC ready part on the box..... It will feature in an upcoming repair video...

Blimey. You blokes whining all the time. Nice cranes. You blokes only have 2 axles per "wagon". When we change from plastic to metal wheelsets we have 4 per "wagon" as you blokes call a piece of rolling stock. Been building up my MOW fleet and have about 15 cars of various kinds in HO scale. Just got 4 new engines for Christmas. 3 MRC (Model Rectifier Corporation) EMD F-7's, 2 are FP-7A's & 1 F-7B. Got one Athearn FP-7A Amtrak to pull my Amtrak coaches. I really love the MRC models as they were the top of the line several years ago. They have 5 pole skewed armatures in a can motor, see through Farr grilles, all grab irons installed except for the eyebrow and front grille grabs. Also you can clip off the fake lift rings on top and add your own real ones. They have interiors and are already wired for DCC; just add a decoder of your choice. All mine came from fleaBay but are in excellent to new condition. I got each engine for under $50.00/each including shipping. Merry Christmas. Cheers from eastern TN

Good stuff Tim. The B12 body and tender look genetally in good condition. R.866 from 1970 to 1979. The number on the body is not always the catalogue number as it was too hard to change the body mold for different livery of the same model. I just rebuilt a B12 Chassis for that model, same colour Apple Green wheels. That DMU runs great. Nice collection. Happy Trains 👍

Hi Tim great vid, I do the same thing except I run the switch through the negative side so I don't have 12 volts running permeantively through the switches Cheers Mark
@TimsBitsnPieces2 ай бұрын
It is such a low voltage it doesn't really matter and for the amount of time that I run the trains on this layout is it marginal.

Excellent system. I used a similar siphon system with the same 1inch clear hose to connect my sump to the aquarium and works perfectly. No need for drilling or worries about overflows during power outages, etc. Only I could not get the push connectors locally so I used pvc elbows and fittings and silicone to make it airtight and clamped the joins using either clamps or cable ties depending on the situation.

I run my lights at 50% Take care Tim!!

What’s your method for dechlorinating and heating the new water please?
@TimsBitsnPieces3 ай бұрын
Hi well if you have read through the previous comments you will see that I leave the lid off the IBC and cover it with flyscreen material. This lets the chlorine dissipate itself over time (Here in Melbourne Australia we do not have a high chlorine level in our water). I do not preheat the water going into the tanks, as colder water going into the tanks makes the fish think that it is raining and thus stimulates them into the breeding cycle....

HI Mons, I do have a layout which is shown in the intro video and several earlier videos, but it gets boring for me watching trains go around and around an oval track all the time.. I am working on my new layout in Anyrail but it just takes time.... Thanks for your comment, Cheers.
@monsvillerailways57364 ай бұрын
@@TimsBitsnPieces OK. So this is just a suggestion that you can ignore if you want. How about a train running on the oval track with each videos new arrivals at the end of each video? Seeing them running even for 10 seconds shows them off together. Your audience may find this more interesting than you do and this is done by many different channels. Up to you 👍 Have a great weekend

Thanks for posting!! I am trying to setup a system with no drain but going through a room window. I need to use the pump to drain the tanks and normal water pressure to fill them. Going to add a hose connection at freshwater in, controlled water in and also a pump inlet for controlled vacuuming. I should get multiple options to drain, fill and transfer water and can add exterior filtration and water sources easily if needed. Cheers! Let me also add that I have looked for days for Drain type systems and there are none to be found.

Nice collection Tim. The Tri-ang couplings changed from the Mk 2B to Mk 3 in January 1959. Looks like all your Tri-ang couplings are the closed D Tension Lock Mk 3 so 1959 or newer. Great collection all up. Hope the 0-4-0 Steam shunter is back on the tracks soon. Happy Modelling

Hi Mons, Thanks Yeah a few nice additions. I was just going on the info on the website as to when those models were made/sold, it didn't say anything about the couplings.. one of the items had the earlier coupling on it. The lovely little steamer is getting a check up shortly. Thanks for the comment.

@monsvillerailways57366 ай бұрын
Nice collection Tim. As for coal loads I prefer to fill them below the rim and have the coal removable. More flexibility. Easy to do with cling wrap. Personal choice. As for the Tri-ang well deck wagons... Some are from the Battle Space collection. Tri-ang collectors like me cringe with your description of cutting the trucks off or couplings. 😅 Your wagons. Your call. Happy Modelling Mon from Monsville Railways
