I haven't played the handhelds, been debating whether to cover them or not (maybe after I've covered the console and PC ports since I've already started.) I'll need to see if my opinion changes when I revisit the ps2 port but so far the PC one is winning for me

At some point I'm going to get to Hogwarts legacy and do a big comparison and talk about what I HOPED would be in the game etc. who knows, maybe the launch of the HBO series would be a good way to introduce some remakes!

I've been debating whether to cover the hand held versions or not. I never really played them growing up and there are already so many games just for the console/pc versions haha. I think the PS2 and the PC versions of the first 3 games are still pretty solid and worth trying out at some point.

@@playbackgaming276 I notice that you have the PS1 version of the first game. I think covering the PS1 versions are great, alongside the PS2. The GameBoy Advance versions of the first two HP games are different from the GameBoy Color versions, and the GameBoy Advance game for the third movie is made by the studio who did the first two GameBoy Color games. Which means the GBA version of PoA is not a sequel to the GBA version of CoS but instead a sequel to the GBC version of CoS lol. Anyway, if you choose to cover it, I'll be there! if not, no sweat!

Yeah, I played the demo first as well. Back then I got it from putting the DVD into the DVD drive on the computer. Remember when you could do that? 🤣

If you come across the CD...don't buy it, cause it won't work cause of the old DRM. If you google "Harry Potter Abandonware" you should find what you need. The PS1 ports are so odd because on the one hand, they technically aren't very good games...But at the same time there's still a charm to them that I can't resist haha. The level that freaked me and my friends out the most used to be the sleeping troll section. We'd be so focussed and quiet and then one of my friends dad would come in and try to spook us by making loud noises 🤣 good times.

I was just reading your comment and had an "Oh gosh" moment when remembering the Sleeping troll section.. Young me didn't realise that there was the hay in which to lay the cage upon, so each and every time, I would place it as gently as possible on the floor, but that would still trigger the awakening, and I would just "lightning"-bolt it for the door each time... Thanks for unlocking that deeply hidden memory haha

Yeah, I think this was back in the day where there was kind of a rule of 3. Which is fine...if the section is fun! Was debating whether to talk more about the chess section but I felt the review was getting a bit too long already. And let's face it, most people aren't even watching this 20 minute review so haha

The graphics are horrible Everyone looks like They made out of H2O. They barely look Human and it’s Play Station One Sequel Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets graphics are sadly no better even though it came out in 2002.@@playbackgaming276

Yeah, I'll be covering that game at some point as well. Maybe gameplay wise it will be better than the first? I can kind of understand that they would want to recycle as many assets as possible given the short deadlines they were given to get it out before the movie. It's a real shame, especially since there is a little bit of a charm to it at points. Might have been a lot better if they were given more time to flesh out the ideas more.
