I'm going to try and get round to playing this game this year. Enjoyed the first one when I was a kid, and even in hindsight it was a pretty good game with a great soundtrack and some beautiful and atmospheric level designs. I don't think that's just the nostalgia speaking either, although that definitely helps! This one does just seem to be an improvement in almost every way though, and have enjoyed watching various retrospective reviews and streams of people playing it. Need to give it a go myself.

So nostalgic. I remember being blown away with the exploration and duels. It was a big improvement from the first. These games could be remade and expanded...but I guess we are on the Hogwarts Legacy season now.

The game just reeks of fun. Its colorful, has good controls, good exploration, good puzzles. Its proof you don't need AAA graphics or budgets to make good games but here we are in 2024, with mediocre graphics, post processing effects on top of everything and slop gameplay.

The subscriber count is too low for production value this high. 🤯😅

Not just Chamber of Secrets. The first three games on PC are great.... and then they had to go mess it all up with the fourth game.

I only had the GameBoy Color version, and bought the PS1 disc during the PS3 era as a collectible, so the PC/console experience of these earlier HP games are foreign to me.

I literally replayed these games just this past spring! They are still really good imo. Needed some mods to make the first one play as smooth as the second one though!

Fun little detail. At the right part of the Storyprogression, Mcgonnagal is giving class for other studs. You can desturb the class by running into it. She's giving a couple of warnings, but after a while she is taking housepoints for every disturbance. I loved to mess around to it, when I was a kid!

Man this was nostalgic, I played these religiously up until Goblet of Fire where my Dad's PC just couldn't take it any more. I remember thinking the game was just meant to be choppy because I didn't understand anything about framerate or specs....good times

You can actually go into the settings and make the game harder. I've done it before. I didn't really notice a change though. Please tell me what your experience is with it.

PS1 Hagrid might be a little bit of 'low hanging fruit' when it comes to "interesting" model design. But, for me, I often couldn't get past the dungeon section for the moment you encounter peeves.. that MF scared me too much for such a small part in this otherwise very nostalgic game

This is a surprisingly good analysis of the PC version, I played the two PS1 games of the first two films Good quality video editing, and commentary. Deserving of many more subs and views :)

This game was honestly really badly made! I got this for my birthday or christmas back in 2010 and me and my dad couldn't make head or tails on how they game actually worked at the time! It's been sitting in my games drawer ever since so I decided to take a stab at it again recently. I had to eventually search up how to do it and I was then able to make decent progress. The most disappointing aspect for me has gotta be the cybermen and daleks. They were able to get Matt Smith and Karen Gillian in to do the voice acting (somehow) but they couldn't get Nicholas Briggs who literally plays the two antagonists of the whole game?! They cybermen designs and behaviour also really annoyed me. Even if you're f#&ing standing in front of them they still attempt to shoot you with their guns! You would've thought they might of implemented their electrified gloves into the game but nah, shoot from a couple centimetres away it is. They also seem to loose interest in you very easily. In the chase scene with Amy in the Missing Crew part, they literally gave up and walked back when I'd made it a certain distance! Overall, I completely agree with this dude because the game is pretty shite. I hope sometime soon there will be better Doctor Who games releasing. Like the VR Edge of Time game! Sure the doctor's design itself was an abomination, the walking was painful and the game lacked much content, but I'd say it's at least on the right track!
