Thanks for this. Will try this next week on my 2008 RX350. When you first removed the tranny plug, was there another plug inside (I think it’s plastic) that you removed next to drain most of the fluid?

Sorry for replying late. No plastic tube inside , only the plug and gasket. The newer models will have the plastic tube

Thanks for sharing your experience. Had to laugh when you kept dropping your socket in the soup…😂 By the way, that was some BROWN fluid! I know there’s some who may criticize your video skills but I actually found it entertaining. If you really want to see some struggles, changing the transmission FILTER is one job that is not for the faint of heart! Anyway, good luck with you Lexus (and don’t forget to replace that oil cooler line if it hasn’t already been done.)

Can you do a video on how to drain and fill power steering on your lexus rx 350?
@TheHezzii

I just replaced the power steering fluid on my wife’s 2009 lexus rx350, u need some type of suction tool like a turkey baster syringe, use that to suck out the old power steering fluid from the reservoir then fill it up with the new power steering fluid, i used genuine Toyota automatic transmission/power steering fluid, this fluid replaced dexron lll so it’s the correct fluid the manual calls for. Once you’ve filled it up to cold max line only if your vehicle is cold otherwise if it just got turned off then hot max line, then take it for a spin around the neighborhood and try to do multiple turns so u can get all the residual old fluid out of the system, then u check to see if the color of the fluid has changed to that of the new fluid, if not keep doing this process until the power steering fluid is the same color as the new fluid.

My car is the same year and model as yours. The car manual recommends to use Dexron II or III. Did you have any issues using Toyota brand transmission fluid? Also do you have a video about changing power steering fluid?

So far , no problem at all . Shift smoother than before. I plan to replace most of the fluid by changing 3 more time by next September without dropping the pan . Just did the 2nd time 2 weeks ago, the 3rd will be in April or May and last one in September. From then on will do it yearly.

Man, I really need to understand the wiring processs because I'm trying to do the same installation with the same oem head unit. Do you mind explaining it to me ? I did'nt quite understand the process , I have the same radio.

Do you get the same harness like I posted in the description? Just follow the tutorial in the harness package. And what part of the wiring process do you have trouble with? The one behind the radio or otherwise?
