looks like it doesn' t work any more :( . Under Group/Input/Midi, I find "ROUTINGS" wich proposes Drumkit option, which doesn't work...any idea ? Thanks !

Thanks for the question. As of July 2024: GROUP > INPUT > Key Mode = Drumkit (to play as a drum kit on midi keys) OR GROUP > INPUT > Key Mode = Manual > Source { should list your available MIDIs } > Channel = { Specific MIDI Channel for desired controller } GROUP > INPUT > Key Mode = off plays the selected Sound in the Group chromatically across the keys as pitches of one sound/sample iOS v14.5 + Maschine v2.18.4 Channel is either referring the to sample's/sound's channel in software or the MIDI channel, but it appears like it is referring to the channel within the Maschine Group. Probably a quick test away, but seemed to work for me with setup as above.

Came back to this for a totally different reason and it did the trick. I was trying to use my Launch Pad Mini as a controller. This video helped a ton! I was able to go to the Novation free web app Components and setup my Launchpad with 64 pads split into 4 groups, each with it's own MIDI channel, then in Maschine I was able to set groups to the MIDI channels set on my Launchpad. So I have access to 4 drum kits(8 pads each) simultaneously from my launchpad. Thanks a bunch!

It listens on all channels, so if you happen to have more than one midi controller connected then both of them will be mapped to the same knob even if the controllers are on different channels :(

Thanks! Anybody using an Arturia Drumbrute with Maschine 2? When I use the pads it skips two of the samples. What do I need to change (on either end) so Pad 1 on Drumbrute plays Sound 1 on Maschine, Pad 2 - Sound 2, etc. etc. ?

Is this stored on the device? I want to remap (change the notes/midisignals) and use it to trigger drums on an external midi device Or On smaller keyboards you can press the transposebutton to trigger more octaves. Can you do the same with a bank button on this mpc? I want to be able to trigger all notes/drums

What if the drum is a sample loop that you can't separate the kick from snare?

One option is to just side chain it anyway, but this sometimes doesn't lead to the result you're looking for. Another option is to play midi notes into a new track every time the kick hits. In other words, play and record the notes in as you listen to the original loop. You can then side chain to this midi track and create the effect you are looking for. This track can be muted and the side-chain can react to the midi note rather than the audio. I forget the details on how to do this, but I did a KZbin search at the time and was able to pull it off. Of course, this depends on how complicated the kick line and how well you perform it, but it could be a good way to get the result you are looking for without adding additional audio and without changing the vibe of your song.

so on the note repeat issue i think you have the "note repeat" set to "triplet" it gives 3 options and i think that might be why but im not sure how to bring up that menu without the maschine hardware "note repeat" button.it could be in options or something tho

I just got my Maschine today, and while this is nice, it is not saved.... so you will need to do this every time, and even then, if you add a second instance of a a plug in the same project it doesn' t have the mappings... at least is what I see... do you know if it is possible to save mappings so you have the instruments ready when you add them?
