Jacket is nice but collar is weird to have leather attached to ribbing
@Selmerdesign
@Selmerdesign 3 күн бұрын
I think it's really nice to pick up the other visual fabric element that you see on the waist. Although the practical use of ribbing is does not apply when used on the collar, as this is an aesthetic choice. It also feels nice against the neck!

You think it’s possible to do this project with a domestic sewing machine? Specifically heavy duty singer.
@Selmerdesign
@Selmerdesign 10 күн бұрын
Hi, Unfortunately I'm not sure. I'd say the best thing to do is to ask your local retailer/online retailer of the machine so you don't damage your sewing machine. If you can't get a response from your retailer try to search on your machine number and see if other people have been sowing leather with it. If you still can't find any information about it and want to take the risk I'd buy leather needles and test on a small piece of leather first (Before buying leather for the entire project). This is to make sure that the machine can handle it without being strained. In this case I'd avoid thicker leather as that is typically too hard on most domestic sewing machines. Hope this helps! Sebastian

Great work 🧥 man. I will try to make a jacket for myself this winter 🤞 I would like to mention something and I hope you would not understand it in a wrong way. When recording, consider changing your way. Make the camera closer. Make close shots. Where viewers can see through your eyes the quality of the leather and how you work closely with your passion. Close shots translate that viewers are also feeling close to your creation. ❤ May the success be your partner

Thank you! I'm glad to hear that, it's the best feeling to wear what you've made yourself. How do you create your pattern? I appreciate all the recommendations I can get! I'm new to KZbin and doing my best to improve and adapt over time, I felt the same and tried some other angles it in my last video, here's a link if you're interested. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmTQhXmnq7OIha8 Still a lot to learn but it's so much fun to share my knowledge, if you have questions regarding your project just leave them here and hopefully I can help you. Have a great day! S
