How much line are you letting out before putting the snap weight on?.... After snapping it on, how much line do you let out? How far does the weight go down? Thanks

Thank you and a very informative video. I do have a question which is your 3 hook shade leader. Is it self tied and can that kind of leader be purchased somewhere?
@EpicFishingVibes2 күн бұрын
There’s multiple ways to tie the sliding hook. The easiest by far is to buy bobber stops from Amazon which are pre-tied and just slide them over the sliding hook. It’s quick, simple and effective. The ones I buy are the Thill premium bobber stops for fishing floats.

Are we allowed to keep salmon? I thought they closed it in california?
@EpicFishingVibes5 күн бұрын
Yes we are allowed to keep and fish for land locked salmon. The state only closed the the season for ocean salmon.
@bodjielang5 күн бұрын
Limit size?
@JTFishin2 күн бұрын
No size limit on landlocked kings. We do kinda of all police ourselves as recreational fishermen,we personally do not keep small landlocked kings or Kokanee as they are next years big fish. Those 1-2lb fish are next years 3-5lb fish or bigger
@ia69805 күн бұрын
Salmon is closed for cali right?
@EpicFishingVibes5 күн бұрын
Yes the ocean salmon season is closed, but you can still fish for land locked salmon. That’s the salmon that are in fresh water and can never make it to the Ocean.

Summer fishing Arroyo Seco river, isn't it closed? The CA DFG Regs say it's open Dec 1 to Mar 7.
@EpicFishingVibes2 ай бұрын
That’s below the waterfall that divides the upper and lower Arroyo Seco River. Since steelhead can’t access the upper part of the river it’s subject to the general trout regulations for the area. I was fishing the upper part of the river.

Fished there every year for over 20 years until drought. Make the 4-5 hr drive from Sacramento….. rent a cabin … fish for 3-4 days minimum. Always in November…. Catch fish all day most times. Haven’t gone since water got so low…. couldn’t launch at the Jetty. Lots of great memories and stories.
@EpicFishingVibes3 ай бұрын
Yessir you can definitely still catch em all day. The water has never really gone up from what I’ve seen. They are making it more boat friendly at the ramp. Last year it put out more fish over 5lbs than I’ve seen in a long long time. It’s still beautiful and a special place to go you should check out it this year if you get the chance

Whoever is yelling must not have done much fishing, this happens all the time with salmon, barbless hooks. They turn their head and they are gone. A few years ago, a friend and I lost our first 25 salmon before we finally got one !!
@EpicFishingVibes4 ай бұрын
We’ve had that happen all too often, especially with monster kings. In this video though Givo was just being a little over dramatic and having too much fun lol. Actually I think he just likes to yell lol

Not sure if he's either mad about the fish or he caught the lure coming back in the face. Would sound the same if it happened to me either way 😮 last time Franco went on the boat. Which one's Franco? If it's the rod man, then it's a hook to a face. If Franco is the net man everybody's mad that he lost it. Sorry Franco no more fishing for you on that vessel 😢
