Wow. A brilliant idea to make a video of the crew doing the bealech na ba. It does give scale and show just how steep those hare pins are.. A sweet touch of the Spielberg 💯👍👍

I live in Derbyshire- the train line through Edale, is NOT a steam train line, its the sheffield /manchester line, if you heard a steam train , it was a special. Did you go round the other side of the dam? there is a dam busters memorial there , and in the week you can ride all the way to Howden dam.
@paulking79863 ай бұрын
The day I went to the dam they were cutting down trees and it was shut off I was gutted. I will be back loved it riding round the whole area.

Hi Paul. Glad to see you back on KZbin again. Look forward to your videos. This series is good because I'm from Chesterfield so your on my playground. Beautiful around the Peak District Paul. You picked a windy day, but when the suns out its lovely. At 11.40 mins in this episode if you stop it you see they named a village after my surname. I regularly ride to Holmfirth as a stop on a ride out up north. ENJOY AGAIN. 👍👍👍

Cracking vid Paul, good to hear your voice again, I have driven a few of those roads for work and pleasure, walked a bit of the peak district with my old man when we were in our youth too, Manifold Valley, the River Dove and the Swail Holes, Matlock and the Heights of Abraham, Milldale and Wetton not forgetting Thores Cave.

Another nice video and as Cat and Fiddle and Snake Pass are both close to home the average speed cameras spoilt things and I have walked across the top of Mam Tor in the past when the wind has been so strong you have not be able to stand up

That area is stunning i get my bike out from hull and head there when i can love it, Blakey ridge wheeldale road awesome. Needs a proper cafe not a scone and tea room it needs to cater for the visitors no one buys pictures of a old tv show come on i love it there but before the show it must have been dead. 8.29 corner known as devils elbow usually bumpers an headlight on the verge from the Tits who think there drivers even seen a post office 7.5 ton up the verge here

We've visited that area for the last 4 years on the motorbikes. Fantastic. We are going further east this year. ps Myself and the wife called at the Tan Hill in on our WALK from Derbyshire to Scotland on the Pennine Way. It was only 268 miles hahahahaha. The cattle blocking the road were Highland Steers.

As a North Yorkshire local I enjoyed seeing how much you liked the scenery round here. You picked some good routes but you also missed a few so perhaps you'll come back again and ride them next time. Don't forget North Yorkshire has two National Parks, there is the Yorkshire Dales on the West side of the A1M and the North York Moors on the East side of the A!M. The North York Moors has a very different feel to the Dales, but there are plenty of great roads, Inns and other stopping places, and you also have the East Coast (including Whitby if your not afraid of Vampires) to visit. Ride Safe 😃👍
Glad you like the tour, I intend to continue exploring your area sir.

It's not a horse or a donkey, it's a Shetland Pony, and Pen-y-ghent is one of the lower mountains in the Dales, though it is one of the most spectacular and you get the best view of it from the road you were on. Shame it was in cloud. I've been there and seen it in sunshine. 😊
@paulking798611 ай бұрын
I envious you travel these roads regularly.

Glad you enjoyed the ride, and yeah, Dales roads are technical and challenging but reward you with fantastic views. I know almost every yard of the roads you went on so it was nice to watch for me too. Been over those passes when I was looking down at snow hundreds of feet below. And the "buttertubs" are cool because they are literally "where the sun don't shine" 😊

Suffolk is a gem, best kept secret so far but I know alot of London/ Essex people are coming here for a better way of life, Houses not too expensive . And over 200 churches and yeah there were witches here, You;re in Witchfinder General territory. P.s Lavenham is nice but try Hadleigh and Needham Market too

Some of my favourite rides ... beautiful place. If you go again, try The Bridges Pub near Ratlinghope. BTW, it is so windy up at the top, that the gliders get pulled up by a static winch ( not another plane ) and then land back on the airstrip at the top of the hill.
