Great work to both of you guys! I love all the pictures especially the vintage countertop shot. I can relate to the Christmas miracle because I started out as a MOTU fan and missed out on some key LJN stuff early. I did get the Fist Pounder and Cat's Lair later though so I can't complain. Thanks so much for doing this interview. Otherwise I never would have known about Nick's work. As it turned out, I had the winning bid on the Ultimate BW Shark so I am super excited to get my hands on it. It's also great to know that there are fans out there making the stuff we may otherwise never see. Rat-Star, anyone??? War-Bot???

Great review as always! This is my new number 2 favorite variant of the line(right behind invisible Tygra). I thought it looked great online but it looks so much better in hand. I've come to think of it as the "Evil Mumm-Ra". I'm not usually into the repaints but this one is really special and I would recommend it to any diehard fan. I was also very pleased with how quickly it shipped. Can't help but wonder what other anniversary surprises they may have up their sleeves. Thanks for staying on top of the latest news and keeping us in the loop!

I'm buying these out of sheer brand loyalty. They're unreadable. Why can't they find fans of the original iteration who continue to build out the legend? The original characters are already developed and they are archetypes; iconoclasts. If they want to say something new they need to create something new. I think there's still a huge part of the fandom that just want to see new stories not a new version of their childhood heroes. Wildstorm did a much better job back in the early 2000s.

Good interview. I'm collecting all of the Dynamite Thundercats titles but quit reading them after issue 3. I just can't take the writing and art. The Wildstorm stuff from the early 2000s is so much better. Also, if you can find them and afford them, Marvel published 24 issues under their Star imprint back in 1986-88 that are fantastic even though a little quirky. I doubt they ever did a TPB but I would definitely buy it. Thundercats Hooo!

Best Lion-O yet. This should be the base figure for all future versions. The color is the most cartoon accurate. My new favorite! Great review as always!

The face sculpt is a bummer and it is very different as the rendered image when Super 7 announced this figure.

I'm loving this Lion-O but i would highly recommend fixing his arms. Very easy to do and make a huge difference esthetically to hos arms. He-Bro did a great video on it. Can't wait for the light up eyes version. Hope he comes with a darker skin tone though.

Excellent work, Nick, and I love the excitement on Egmond's face! The passion for our beloved children's show is great to see. One of my earliest memories is Father Christmas - as he's known here! - bringing me Castle Grayskull, and waking up to find my Christmas sack filled with a box that was bigger than me 😂

Great figure Edmund. The new mold is more accurate to the cartoon and I was a big advocate of it as a child.😀💡✌️

Good to see you back, brother. I've been missing the videos. I'll be honest it's kinda hard to get pumped up for these reissues. I'll buy them of course but I wish they had made them distinctly different in enough respects that army building would have made sense. I am pretty excited about the Mumm-Ra repaint though. Love ghost Grune. It's a great "recycle" of the standard version. He does leave me yearning for the astral plane Lion-O that we missed out on last year though. Just think a few hundred more Cats Lair orders and the Astral Lord would soon be headed our way! Still, I am looking forward to Tygra's lab...and the key! Rewatched Safari Joe today which left me thinking that he would make a nice addition to the Ultimates baddies. He was actually one of the more formidable villains as it turns out. He would probably need to come with Mule too. If you haven't watched that episode in a while you should check it out. It's hilarious how Joe captures Panthro. Major plot armour!! Still holding my breath for that Slithe compatible Nose Diver! It needs to happen!

Great figure Eggman. Still debating if I even should get it. As the one that is actually necessary and part of the main cast is Ghost Jaga but Brian made it Limited figure & now going for $300.

I use boxes it protects the black sleeves boxes. Recently all have come damaged from shipping because of this

Great review and thanks for the tip on getting that lasso to stay in place. You were very kind to Mattel. The S7 Wily Kat blows theirs out of the water! Not even close. I think the new Kit and Kat figures prove that nothing is off the table when it comes to fine details and delicate cartoon accuracy. Super 7 has arrived!! I still love my old LJNs but they are ridiculously clunky compared to the modern versions and S7 has achieved the definitive Thundercats line. Let's just hope they keep cranking them out!

Nice review. Still loving this line! My Ghost Grunes came in earlier this week and looked fantastic. It surprised me because I figured the light effect Mumm-Ra and Lion-O would come in first. Have to admit that I was a little disappointed with SDCC. I know you can't reveal a Cat's Lair every year but I was hoping we'd see something from Tigersharks or at least a new Silverhawk wave. What did you think of the Mondo Lion-O? All I see are dollar $ign$! It does give me hope for a 40th anniversary coronation Lion-O Ultimate. Good to see you. Keep up the great work!

About the light up eyes LION-O , I saw the render and noticed both heads are light up, I hope they release a non light up normal head with it as well,

D&D North Lord ... the helmet that Brian referred to.... I had that figure and understood Brian's point 100%.

.... I still have a faint hope that Super 7 or someone (i.e., Ramen Toy) would make a "repair kit" for the Thundertank so that: 1) the trends will actually roll easily; and 2) the interior of the tank can be modified after the gun is taken out, like new seats for figures.
