I have seen this many times over the years and here I am on New Year's Day 2025 at 74 years old with tears making tracks. Unlike me, this movie and message never age. To Sir, with love.

Dean acts like a low spectrum autistic man and this is considered great acting? The excessive lack of eye contact when talking to others signals a disabled individual...which was NOT the role\part.

I wonder if Lulu was thinking that she should be the smasher after the scene and reaction of the public, i love lulu though i was only wondering, yes its me Ronnie wondering around walking in A see of Mystical Dreams of what was and what was not

When I was a child, I came upstair and saw my mom watching this movie, this very scene. I'm 53 years old now and I still change the channel whenever Sidney Poitier's face appears on my TV screen. No shame at all! This dude was on American Bandstand when he should have been on the Soul Train. I never want to see that again for as long as I live.

I still have the DVD and play the movie sometimes. It really teaches you how not to be racist and prejudice against anyone people of color.Because God made all races of people upon the face of the earth 🌎. Who are we to judge who is better than anybody else.Stupid isn't it we all are made from the dust of the earth.

I grew up with this movie and had different impressions as a teen. Just watched it with my adult daughter who hadn’t seen it and saw it in a different light entirely. When Lulu sang the title song, we both cried.

What I love about this movie is they make the "hero" (Bick) unsympathetic and the bad guy (Jet) sympathetic....at least during the 1st half of the film, then and only then do the positions change, and we see Bick's growth and Jet's fall from grace and corruption. Great character study.

One of the best movies ever! Helped by a great cast of characters, especially the beautiful & talented Sidney Poitier❤
