both RACH and DCI is generated in MAC. Then why separate transport channel for RACH but no separate Transport Channel for DCI?
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik 25 күн бұрын
I do not have an answer for this which I can claim to be 100% correct BUT I believe it is so because for RACH, Specifications have put an onus on MAC for certain things like choosing RACH pramble and occasion etc and trigger L1 to do rach. On the other hand, DCI information origin is not driven by specifications. It only specifies DCI formats and associate PDCCH with it on resource grid, but has not specified it to be originating in MAC or L1, Leaving this portion to be implementation specific, This makes a lot of sense because it will be closely related to schedular and the scheduling part is completely left for internal implementations. Hence, No Transport channel associated with DCI.

It is a way to kind of disable the time alignment timer implementation. It means UE shall not maintaing a timer running and gNB does no have a compulsion to send TA MAC CE within a time range.

At 11:18, interleave or channel coding jo bola he wo security k liye nahi hoti right. kyuki security k liye to encryption hota he. interleaver and channel coding ka purpose to alag he, right.
@shaileshkaushik

depends on what you mean by security... All these methods are meant for the security of data.... When you say encryption ( Ciphering), you mean the security in a way that no one can access the data except sender and receiver, So in a way it is to maintain secrecy... whereas, channel coding etc are the methods that ensure that data transfer over the air happens without errors... here also you're securing the data.. it is like transporting a bone-china set with proper security... you need security so it does not break but it is not really controversial if it is sent in a transparent packaging (i.e. without ciphering). but if you are a 70s bollywood movie smuggler transporting cocaine... it may not need padded packaging, but you would not want everyone to see what is inside... so you would want to cipher here.... So all these procedures are there for securing the data but different manner.

Hi thank you very much for the video. Actually some small details i was looking for which i think u missed Like how gnb knows it is short bsr or long or truncated.. also by the name apply truncated makes sens in long truncated like instead of sending bsr for all lcg id ue will send highest priority lcgs ... but in short bsr how is short bsr truncated? Its only 1 byte does it become less than 1 byte ? If not how why is it called truncated?
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik 5 ай бұрын
Short and short truncated both are 1 byte long PDUs but Short means that UE only needed allocation for 1 LCG, whereas, Short truncated means that UE needed allocation for more than 1 LCG but only had allocation enough to fit in a single byte PDU of BSR CE .

For what reasons gNB will grant less to UE forbsending data, will this also not increase the latency and how to overcome and ensure tht UE grant proper grant for UL
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik 11 ай бұрын
scheduling is completely implementation dependent and is not governed by specifications... So it is completely implementation dependent how resource allocation is done.. Probably scheduler is keeping fix allocations per UE every TTI, OR Probably whole bandwidth is lesser in that particular BWP than what UE requires.. etc.. All these are theoretical possibilities... but as I said, there's no fix answer as it is all implementation dependent.

Can we prioritise the BSR for logical channel group, or LCG takes BSR in round robbin fashion
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik 11 ай бұрын
Logical channel priority is governed by 38.321 A particular LCG can be prioritised over other but that rigidity may lead to the starvation of lesser prioritised LCG, So that is also taken into account... For details you can refer to below mentioned link: www.sharetechnote.com/html/Handbook_LTE_LoCh_Prioritization.html

How many time regular BSR can be sent after expiry of not receiving DCI UL
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik 11 ай бұрын
only once you can send BSR, because if you don't get grant in response you can't send BSR again because........ you do not have PUSCH allocation for doing so... In such case UE will have to rely on SR procedure..

Whats is diff numeroligy bwp and same numerology bwp ?
@shaileshkaushik
@shaileshkaushik Жыл бұрын
Hi, Sorry for the late reply, These are parts of UE capability related to BWP switching via DCI and times. This is a way by which UE indicates that it is capable of switching between BWPs of same numerology or different numerology. For example, if a provider has deployed a cell with 4 bwps which work on different numerology, then only a UE which has indicated a capability of switching between these can be switched based on DCI or timer( Not RRc Signalling switching, that has t be supported by UE) So if such an opportunity arises where UE can not stay oa a particular BWP and needs to be switched but has not indicated the ability throuugh the parameters you have mentioned, In that case UE would be released and re admitted to a different BWP. I hope your question was answered.
