She turns her body away from Eric out of respect. This is a king of comedy and she doesn't want to intrude into his time with Graham. Remember, Eric wasn't there for the start of the show, and only came on set for this short 7 minute interview. So she wants Eric to shine, not her.

Context - Eric has been married twice. He still continues to pay money to his first wife Lyn Ashley and to his son he had with her Carey. Eric would never leave them penniless. Second, he pays a whopping income tax bill every year which is why he needs to sell property. That sale wasn't going to his bank account, it went to pay off the income tax and also debts created due to the financial demise of theaters. So without context, you read that story and think he is greedy. In fact out of that $6.5 million, he probably will receive 5% of it after the debts have been cleared. Yes, $325,000 but no where near the top figure. All of this was from information gained from people who worked with Eric. So context, before slamming the man.

I had no idea Mr Idle went through this, but am extremely happy they caught it in the early stages, and were able to treat and remove it. I had a very dear friend pass from pancreatic cancer in 2021, and it was devastating.., still is. 😢💔

My mother-in-law, Jean, passed from pancreatic cancer. She was with us on Christmas Day for opening gifts and an early dinner. On December 28 she woke up feeling like shit and her neighbor took her to the Emergency Room. She was admitted and we were called. We met her at about 5:00 pm and soon after we arrived in her room, the doctor came in and asked us to leave. Jean said, no, this is my family and they need to hear what you have to say. The doctor said, very well, you have pancreatic cancer, it's advanced, and we can't fix it. Basically, you're dying in many more words. She went into palliative care, which is where they do everything they can to keep terminal patients comfortable, and from there it was hospice, where they prepare you, and your family, for your death. She passed on February 5th.

He was indeed very lucky having survived that kind of cancer. Even in an early stage, most do not make it. The operation to remove it is upon the most complicated and extremely risky. My dad was not that lucky. Eric must have had excellent doctors. If you have it, go to the best and most experienced doctors you can get. It is absolutely critical for success in that case especially!

Eric and Graham were my favourite python members. Both brilliant minds, and both nice human beings. I have read about Graham, and his problems with alcohol which he overcame wonderfully. Died far too young at just 48.

God bless him - his life started so tragically when his father survived the second world war and was killed in a car crash on the way home - unbelievable. And he's brought so many people so much joy - I love him. Love, health and peace from Wales.

I love the story that he commented once to George Harrison about how difficult it was trying to get a skit he had written into the Monty Python show, given the genius of the other members, and George responded, “Tell me about it.” They were friends.

My father passed away from pancreatic cancer in November. The fact Eric’s was caught so early, he is so unbelievably lucky… it’s an awful disease and the exposure Eric Idle has given it is so appreciated!

Happened to someone I worked with - left work early on Friday to go to the doctor, was detected same day, died the next Monday. Absolutely insane how quickly it takes people. All cancer is awful, but pancreatic especially.
