I was sent a fancy letter by my university that I was nominated by my university to join NSLS. From my understanding, your school has to nominate you in order to join NSLS.

It is not accredited. It's basically worthless. They even offer it to C level students. A for profit organization that is trying to separate you from your money. Hard Pass!!!

Yes it’s a business (just like your school) but if you’re someone who’s trying to study into a specific profession I think joining the NSLS could help. If you have no volunteer experience or organizations under your belt, for some reason I do believe having something is better than nothing when it comes to strengthening your application packet

So i am currently in community college and I got nominated for this. Would I still get scholarships if from this program if I transfer to a University?

Literally a scam. 90% of the comment section is bots and people that were paid to say flowery shit about this for-profit organization. Wouldn't join an Honor Society especially if it has war criminals speaking in it. Not worth paying a $95 registration fee.

Just to expand on this. There is a one-time fee after accepting your invitation. Some other Greek letter organizations have annual fees to be considered an “active” member. Only selected students earn their invitations. If their GPA drops from the minimum requirement of a 3.0 the student’s GPA must be reviewed by its institution to ensure they still meet the minimum requirements. Sometimes, people luck up and not go through the reevaluation process. Students can also receive invitations based on their “Leadership Potential” given that’s what this organization is all about. Potential future leaders that have showed some form of strong leadership qualities. ❤️ I hope this helps people with a little more clarity. ΣΑΠ🔴⚫️
