I hate this trombone player he does way to much of just blowing into it instead of buzzing into it the guys good but that blowing sound just ruins it for me

Not how that works. It’s like a smooth sax, the airy ness is what makes it iconic.

That's a shame because it's exactly the sound concept he was going for, and he worked VERY hard to achieve it. His earliest influence was Lester Young, and you can kind of hear it in this piece. Other aspects of his unique voice are the extraordinary clarity and distinctive tonguing technique - both particularly difficult on this instrument, and reasons why his artistic mastery is so respected.
