The girl was being abused. Christian should have called the police. He could have been arrested for assault and battery by the boyfriend he beat up. He's lucky the girl/boyfriend didn't call the cops on him. In many cases abused women don't leave their boyfriends/husbands out of fear. Hence, when you hear something like that call the police and let the professionals handle the situation or you may end the victim.

This song and Wasted Jamie are 2 songs that destroy me and have for 9 years. 9 years ago my sister Jamie lost her life in a domestic violence situation. Chris's short story at the beginning where he "politely knocked on the door and politely kicked his ass" line means the most to me. Please if you know someone who is in a violent situation in 2020, please call to check on them as often as you can, and if need be help them escape. everyone stay safe..

Definitely a country gentleman. Was taught to respect women. But his neighbor was an idiot for stopping to speak to him. Christian probably saved her life from who knows what.
