Been below freezing for a week+ dailying my truck and finally got around to looking this up. THANK YOU man. Truck rips the cold AC but zero for heat. Gonna pull the actuator and move it by hand to see if it fixes it

A huge thanks for posting this! Replacing that transistor was exactly the issue with my wah not working also! While I was in there I also flattened out the two plastic strips for the wah and volume using a hair crimping iron. Worked like a charm for that.

Ok. Had the same problem. Volume ok, wah not working. Replaced both transistors. No change. Volume good, no wah. Just curious, What would you check next?

Finally found the problem with my WAH. Bad CAT-5 cable. Should have tried that before doing any other work on it.

Has anyone taken voltage readings at BCE of the working 2N4401? I have nothing at the E, 35 mV to 0.63 V at the B and 35 mV to 0.4 V at the C. I believe the collector is the WAH signal back to the amp. Thank you

Just got one with a broken WAH. I replaced the 2N4401 and it did not fix the issue. Turns out the old transistor tested fine. The WAH led light turns on, but I do not get a WAH effect. The clear strip is clean. I tried varying the pot next to the transistor. Any suggestions and can anyone point me to a schematic? Thank you

Same issue with my neighbors 1990...is it also possible to have a weak actuator? I pulled it off and it still rotates but I wasn't getting any heat with it connected, I disconnected it from the heater vent and opened the vent door by hand and all the sudden I have heat again...which leads me to assume it's just a worn out actuator.

hey, i have the same model of the line 6 floor board, but when I plug it into the line 6 spider IV amp, nothing happens, the led doesn't come on at all, and no lights come on, do you have any ideas how I can check out maybe what components could be bad? I have taken it apart and the circuit board for the LED looks ok, not sure if I can fix it

How do you know what’s causing the temperature arrow to blink then disappear? I don’t hear anything clicking under the dashboard.. the ac works and the heat works 1991 c3500 454 dually

Thank you. I am rebuilding a 93 and am going to be pulling the dash. I am going to replace some mode doors and such just to get ahead of all that.

Im having a similar. I don't have any heat and the temperature control display just shows a line of flashing arrows when I try to adjust the temperature. Could this actuator fix that issue?

Thank you for your easy to view video. My C3500 sierra had the same issue with the hot/cold controller. Gravity pulls my door to cold. I pulled the controller apart, then put it back, fixed the door to hot position with the gears and put the cover back on with controller in place. now it is a sauna, but at leastI have heat until a new one arrives.

Great video! Would you happen to know if the wah or volume pedal on the Line 6 Floorboard can be calibrated? I'm not able to get the full 0-127 range of MIDI values on mine.

I'm having same problem but stuck on cold. I look to the actuator and it's good but the blend door is stuck I can't turn it freely. Do you know any info on how to free it up?
