Best video I have found about a 4.3 with 3.73 gears and actually driving it. Planning to do the same but not for racing. Actually for towing. I have 3.42 gearing right now. Just debating if I want 3.73 or 4.10 gearing. Plan to just get it from a junkyard S10 with a 2.2. Auto 2.2 came with 4.10s and a Manual 2.2 came with 3.73 and its the cheapest way to do it. I got a quote from a shop to do the gearing and they want $1600 to do a gear swap and that doesnt matter if its a 3.73 or 4.10. Going to be the same price and also mines a 2wd so that's just for one differential and pricing.

Well the stock ecm died so I jumped the gun and pulled the motor to put my aluminum 5.3 and th400 in. But life got in the way and she is still sitting as a roller in my storage waiting to get built.

Yep, I got a 99 5.9 magnum. Dual exhaust off the headers. No Catalytic converter, just glass packs and 5" tips. It's a beast!

That's what my 5.2 dakota had. I'm probably gonna cut the glasspack off though and run a 3 inch straight pipe. Imo it retains the magnum sound a bit more instead of the old LA sound these engines get.

Check out the exhaust I had on my white ram on my page. It was Gibson headers, magnaflow cat, 4” diamondeye cummins dual- 5” tips. Sounded gnarly.

Cut off right after the cat with straight pipe 3 inch then it splits into 2.5 inch duals to 5 inch tips. So stock cat no mufflers

How did u mark the sides to cut in the shape of the hood

Basically we built the middle section and propped it up how we wanted and then leaned a piece against it to outline the curve and we did it so that it narrowed at the front so when we layed it down we could use the straight edge of it to meet the hood and just bend it with the curve of the hood to be flush.

It was pretty easy. I made my own harness with a fuse box and ordered some cheap fans from eBay. Put a switch in the cab and that was pretty much it .

Just cut off the old muffler and the pipe after it. Bought a straight pipe duals kit off eBay and some 5 inch tips. Pretty easy
