No one “needs” anything. You could drink out of cup if you’d like. However, those of us with a stainless water bottle might want it- The boot at the bottom prevents the cup from getting dented or denting something. And the pouch holds your phone and keys or wallet.

@@SometimesRenn that’s one way to think but a baby cannot conceptualize that. If that’s what you believe that’s okay though, it’s nice and I hope it works out. All I know is when I developed behavioral issues and I couldn’t understand my emotions, it led me to extremely dependent Behavior towards my parents even into adulthood. I felt specifically that my mom could understand me better than I could myself so I simply relied on her until I couldn’t because she couldn’t handle it. I got issues though, not everyone ends up with bad ones so early 🤷🏽♀️

Maybe keep your babies off of social media so you protect them and won't have us ask or say things you would consider stupid. The Internet is not an echo chamber and you should not treat is as such. If your an entertaining person you could make content with you talking about motherhood.❤
@SometimesRenn5 ай бұрын
My motherhood is my primary identity. It’s important to point out that the one singular talking point is not the focus of this video; it’s about new moms balancing what others feel is helpful advice. Im not seeking to entertain, but to encourage others. But note: There are safe ways to share our parenthood without exploiting our children. Perhaps I should make a post on that.

Is your baby sleeping, and why isn’t she smiling are just small talk questions they are definitely not wrong things to say to a first time parent. I’m a mom of going on 4 and you’d be surprised at how many people don’t know babies smile involuntarily at newborn stage to keep mommas sane. It’s an evolutionary thing they are not intentionally smiling . How many people don’t realize babies sleep around 18-20 hours but it’s not in an entire stretch or realize that colic , purple crying exists. I personally Love cloth diapers and will stand behind any mom that uses them. I would also educate about cost effectiveness and benefits for you. Some of these things people are just not educated enough of have bias against because it’s not what they’ve done. There’s nothing that is really offensive unless they are telling you straight up you are doing it wrong.

@SometimesRenn5 ай бұрын
Sometimes they aren’t even wrong, for *their* baby. But that doesn’t mean it will work for *your* baby, and this can add stress to a new mom (or dad) who doesn’t understand why something isn’t working.

@GasterMask5 ай бұрын
While some of these points are valid. Some you should also take into consideration. Such as cloth diapering, which leads to more rashes. And the its ok to let them cry. I see alot of parents try to keep their baby from crying. But, they are going to cry while your fixing a bottle. So to stop from accidents its safer to put the baby in its crib or somewhere safe. And let it cry while you fix it. Ps. This tip isnt for everyone but some people dont understand even if you do everythijg right babys will still cry!
@SometimesRenn5 ай бұрын
The point is- it’s no one’s business but the mom (or dad), and more often than not, unsolicited advice actually isn’t helpful. Also, sorting out what input is factual or not. Like your cloth diapering comment; untrue. But to a new mom, that could change her decision.
@GasterMask5 ай бұрын
@SometimesRenn Like I said, most of these aren't helpful. But some of the advice they were giving is valid concern or to stop you from stressing yourself out.
