Puddle of water in the tent. “I think this tent is waterproof “. What?
@ReviewOutdoors4 ай бұрын
It was because of the way the pitch was. I haven’t been able to test it out again, but I have practiced pitching the tent and I do believe it was user error on why the tent had water in it.

Good review. Some of guy line issues could be resolved by using a combination of shock cords to battle against the winds.

Nice job on comparing the 2 pillows. I just ordered the Drift in large yesterday. I mostly camp on Florida's east coast Islands out of a boat so I'm not worried about weight too much. I just wanted something comfortable for my hammock that was a little less bulky and lighter than normal bed pillow at home.

Good review, think this tent offer great value for its price point vs weight, like you said a cple refinments re structural stability and it would be top notch

No, it comes seam sealed. Watch my water test video to see how it performed in the rain.

Thanks for this review! I’ve been looking forward to it. I like this tent. I think the sagging is pretty normal for sil-nylon trekking pole tents. That little bit of water looks like it was a bit of a fluke the way it got in, with the tent full of gear it might not balloon up as much and it isn’t so much more than could drip in on any tent in the wind. I like it! Unfortunately now Amazon Canada has sold out 😄

Great review of the tent! Looks like a solid tent to stay dry especially for the price. Look forward to the next video.

I have this tent. Yes, the footprint should be about 1/2 an inch (for each dimension) smaller than the tent. SO to fix your pitch the guy-lines that go halfway up the side walls on each end should be staked about 7-10 inches out away to the side from the bottom corner stakes pulling the wall out from the center eradicating that sag where the logo is and keep the floor from curling up. Hope that makes sense and is helpful.

So glad you reviewed this tent. Been looking at it for me and my 6 year old son hiking together. I think I’ll take the plunge. It’s a good tent for the price it seems. Yes it has its flaws but hey it’s less than 150. Well designed tents of this style are 3-4 times as much
@ReviewOutdoors6 ай бұрын
I agree with you. I think the little bit of water in the tent was actually a problem with the way I pitched it. I’m going to test it again and try to improve the pitch and see if that solves the problem.

@@ReviewOutdoors You mentioned not seeing the guy lines or stakes well... I've seen some use neon reflective tape/ribbon to help (ribbon usually starts to slide down though) and, unless they swap out the stakes for different ones, will spray paint the stake tops a bright color. Maybe I missed it, but are those guy lines fully attached (like Gossamer Gear tents)?
@KateinTexas6 ай бұрын
@lukebramblett66 You might like Geartrade 🙂I've seen some One Tigris tents on there, as well as other big names (Nemo, Big Agnes, etc). That is, if you're not opposed to gently used (sometimes just used once and I guess the person said nope nature's not for me😄, or every now and then brand new).

I'm thinking about getting one. One thing u forgot is the length. I'm 6'2 am I gonna be able to stretch out. The description says it's 86.6 inch long so that should be plenty if that's true
@ReviewOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Length: 86.61 Width: 47.24 Height: 49.21 sorry about that. I did t even realize I didn’t say the dimensions.
@tdiler125 ай бұрын
I agree about the guyline length. Its total overkill . Shorten them by 2/3rds then the trip hazard is less too. I wish there was a guy point above where your head and / or feet rest as it tends to sag but I guess the rainproofing is important to not have stitches above ones head.
@tdiler125 ай бұрын
The fasteners for the poles are not so great . I find a 1/2 inch velcro strap a wonderful solution

I was wondering if you could do a hammock review. I am on the heavy side and wondering if a hammock would be a better choice for me. Thanks
@ReviewOutdoors7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! Right now I don’t have any plans to do a hammock review. The reason being, I don’t own a hammock and I don’t use a hammock at this time. I have some back problems so it is more comfortable for me to use a tent. This don’t mean I will never use or review a hammock in the future, but right now it is not in my plans.

Awesome! I was going to water test it last night. I had it all set up in my backyard. The rain we were supposed to get turned into a thunder storm with quarter sized hail. So I had to take it down just in time before the hail hit. That stuff would have destroyed the tent.

Hey! Thanks for this review! I was looking for reviews on this tent last week and didn’t see any, so I’m happy to see it. I saw this on Amazon recently and you’re right, it seems like a new design, I’ve never seen it before. I like OneTigris tent’s I think they look pretty good. This tent in particular looks almost exactly like my Gossamer Gear “The Two”. Looking forward to more videos on this!
