Brilliant vids so thank you, I wanted to clarify, if both of the special character tokens have been used, and you then pull a 3rd on your turn, does that then get passed to the opponent?
@greyfornowgames95908 ай бұрын
Yes, if you can’t use the token you draw you hand it over to your opponent. They use it and then you draw again.

Are you telling me that when the alarm is raised, the defenders are forced to advance the maximum amount of inches towards the next spotted enemy, even if it means giving up cover? Because that is entirely stupid
@greyfornowgames9590 Жыл бұрын
A key part of the game is that players, and particularly the defender, don't have full control over what their troops are doing. This is quite different to most wargames and takes a bit of getting used to. Consider that the sentries are not experienced, frontline troops - the Static divisions contained many who were conscripted from occupied countries, plus it's the middle of the night, they'd rather be in bed and a few seconds ago there was a burst of gunfire from the other side of the compound. Given all of that, you cannot expect them to use perfect battle tactics and do exactly what you want. But to answer your question, they could also choose to shoot or charge if close enough, and if they roll a Medal (which always represents doing something a bit more clever) they can use the Caution rule and only move 4".
@colonelburton8451 Жыл бұрын
@@greyfornowgames9590 ackchually, you gotta imagine they're "not experienced" blablabla. Nope. House rules, thank you. Alarm means you get full control over the sentries, this game needs tweaking and I'll be sure to play it once it makes sense.

What are the SAS wearing? They are mostly being painted in camo but the way the jackets are sculpted isnt suitable for a Denison smock. There is a split at the front, buttons and no fishtail. Are they intended to be the brown leather jerkin?

For movements do all models get the 4 inches of movement regardless of whether or not they roll successful dice rolls? The patrol routes gets 4 inches regardless from what was said in the video, is that the same for sneak movements? Would the attacker get 4 inches of movement even with no successful dice rolls?

Yes that's right. BTW You can download the Quick Reference Sheet for the webstore to see a clearer summary of everything.

I have a question about the Very Loud effect: it says to 'always count at least one alert result when shooting' - does this mean if one alert is rolled the shooter is always revealed even if they roll a greater number of stealth results or does it mean that one alert result is added to the number rolled, even if there are none on the dice, and that with enough stealth results they can remain covert? Thanks!
@greyfornowgames95902 жыл бұрын
It means if you roll no Alert results, you count as rolling one. So yes a Stealth result can cancel it out.

@@H_412 After your roll, just place another white die with the alert-side up with your rolled dice. That will help you remember it.

Great video, thank you. If a trooper pair rolls an alert symbol are both figures considered spotted?
@oldschoolfrp23262 жыл бұрын
Rules say “A single Alert Marker affects the pair as a whole” - This is consistent with the general rule that says friends within 2” are affected by an Alert Marker, since pairs always stay within 2” of each other.

Thanks that is a great starting video. It will be interesting to see how all the little adjustments work in the game. i.e., the medals and the contingencies on cover etc they seemed less intuitive. Keen to see how it plays in a bigger game with set patrol routes. Looking forward to receiving the game.

This is a very cool concept. I watched the Small World Games video on the game itself (I actually saw the advert in Wargames Illustrated which initially wet my appetite) and I fell in love with the art. I am excited to see this finally released and watch some videos on how the mechanics work. If they play as well as the art looks, I am sure they will be smashing as well!

Did not like! The dolls have a very large head that is disproportionate to the rest of the body. On the other hand, the legs are very short making it look like a dwarf doll! HAHAHAHA The paint is very good but the set is bad!

Beautiful models, but why oh why would you put so many of those ridiculous glasses on them? They just don't work at this scale.

We'll have to agree to disagree! Anyway, there's only 3 with glasses out of 30 choices, so easy to leave out the ones you don't want.

Now to impatiently wait for july to roll around :D Are these minis heroic or closer to WA's slimmer proportions?
@greyfornowgames95902 жыл бұрын
They fit in with the WA range, so so marginally smaller heads and hands than Bolt Action models. But during a game they mix fine.
@Vorpal_Wit2 жыл бұрын
Wargames Atlantic just keeps pushing their model line and quality further and further. This is a fantastic range that fills a gap in narrative WWII gaming. I think it will be fun to use the Commando sprue to complement other kits and make a range of poses for a single individual, to swap out as needed for a particular action. Well done all round.
