For the Mirrors Id say put the white covers on and add some Black griffin logo decals on them.

Always look forward to seeing your progress on the Scania. I have a bit of turmoil going on in my head. On one side I'm rally happy to hear that you are busy. Because that means you are earning money to spend on your truck. On the other side I wisk you weren't so busy as we could watch more progress, but the funding would run shoty very quickly. I guess the sensible side of earning money to keep the toybox full has to win. Keep at it.

You are quite right we need to earn the coins to allow us to self fund these builds. Unfortunately we do not get much of anything from the KZbin videos unlike other big channels that get paid lots of cash and are able to do this full time. We just don't get the veiws to create any real revenue all our builds are out of our own pockets. One day hopefully the channel might take off and we can put more time into our builds and videos. Well that's the dream anyway 😢

Definitely put the mirror backs on , but leave them black. Your door window seals on the bottom corners where they seem short are missing two rubber infill joiners.
@RetroRestorationGarage4 күн бұрын
Thanks Michael that's good to know. I've had a lot of cars where over the years the seals have shrunk so just assumed the same with this. I'll get on the lookout for some of those.

for the sake of youtube engagement,why is the speaker backer board in 2 pieces,why not make it 1 solid unit,would look alot cleaner,also i love this build!keept it up!
@RetroRestorationGarage27 күн бұрын
Easier to work on in 2 pieces when it comes to the installation of the amps, wiring, etc... and easier to get back into in the future if required.

I've done a fair amount of zinc plating on my car hardwear. My research suggested things with a high torsional stress above grade 9.8 should be heat treated after plating. I don't believe the struts suffer torsional stress to that degree, but the bolts might. Heat treatment involves putting the zinced part in a oven for two hours (heat dependent on size)..to remove the hydrogen. The effect from zinc is called Hydrogen embrittlement. 99% of things are fine, but high torsional stressed parts need baking.

@RetroRestorationGarageАй бұрын
I wish I knew. I bought it off a chap in Knutsford who also knew little about it. I'm guessing it was stripped for restoration and various works carried out but it came to a stop. Just my guess but can't be sure.

Other thing...I would have put the front window in just to test its fitting (if you have that window). The gap of the A-pillar with that front wing is bigger on passenger side so maybe A pillar is of on that side.
