i reinstalled mysql, still it happened next day, i installed linux on an old laptop and installed MySQL there.. there some other issues were there.. but this simple thing fixed it.. thx

This is the real solution everyone. Fixed this problem in some minutes only. So after finding the user, just enter your login and password. After that, "sudo apt upgrade" "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" then just wait, ubuntu will finish intalling, depackaging and ubuntu desktop will automatically start.

For me it doesn't work

You can just restart ur vm or OS but itsn't permenently

After getting username just go back to insert it with the password then use yhe sudo apt upgrade comand then sudo apt-get install ubuntu-destop very simple 😂
