Is the power really off? If only two legs of power were open you would still have 277 volts to ground on one leg! I have made this mistake, I didn't know I was holding 277 to ground my bare hand until it touched the chassis. Tripped the main and the whole distribution center went dark. Always check leg to leg and leg to ground all the way across.

If i have a fire panel where does that get wired to? I have a fire panel going into a duct detector supply and then to return . Then from there it goes to a control module. And then it goes to EPO (emergency power off). From the first cm mentioned it goes to another duct detector return and supply and continues like above.

Hey boss, curious about what kind of LOTO your using on that Lennox? I work for Lennox NAS and find it aggravating to try and fit a breaker style switch LOTO inside of the flap door onto the switch. Yours style would work effortlessly without fighting with it.

@arthouston73619 ай бұрын
More than likely, this was a department of energy efficiency requirement, because all of the new carriers either have this type of ducted fan or they are using some form of VFD drive so that they can make the numbers that the DOE wants to see. All the new Lennox equipment has a drive, along with the Yorks. More expensive motors mean a higher markup.
@davidperry40138 ай бұрын
ECM blower motors can be used too since ECM motors are basically AC synchronous motors with built-in VFDs.
@arthouston73618 ай бұрын
@@davidperry4013 That's right. More cost to the customer when they fail prematurely, as they have a well known history of doing.

Every brand, has duplicated the "Weathermaker One" chassis. Daiken has one and the cabinet louvers are identical. I guess Carrier had to dumb down to ma)ch prices? I know when I was young, I thought Carrier was the "shizzle."......I'm embarrassed to wear the logo on my shirt lately, especially the residential stuff (ei: 59 series gas furnace)

You can change it out in half the time if you use both hands. I won’t hire a service technician that only works with one hand while filming with the other. If you’re going to film, get a headband or a camera stand.
