This album is crap. It sounds like demos rather than finished tracks. The production quality is abysmal and there is little artistry. It’s like someone swept the editing room floor and made an album out of the garbage. The song writing is under developed and poor and this is evident in the really short track lengths . The production really is terrible - there is no shine or kick to the drums or synths. When the blessed Madonna track comes on you can finally hear some decent production and crisp sounds. Everything else sounds like it was recorded in a swimming pool .

As a huge Kylie fan, I wasn’t too keen on this album, nearly every song on this album is auto tuned to the max, I much prefer tension 1

Hahahahaha - your commentary on Midnight just made my night! Everything on point!! Yes it doesn't quite 'fit' on the album - it would have been great on Golden, but wrong timing. Oddly for me, the Sia collab sounds a bit flat compared to Kylie's tracks, which I'm surprised to hear myself say.

I've been really pleasantly surprised by this album, I wasn't expection much as a kind of bonus album. The production is absolutely stunning and interesting, but also I think vocally she hasn't sounded better, her vocal is to the front, it's expressive and experimental, and she's just good at recording a vocal that matches the production. And I love all the cheeky lyrics, shes clearly having a lot of fun recording these. Even the AI sounding Hello, has a very deliberate vocal that makes it sound like that troubled unhinged stalker you met in a club who is great sex. 😂

tension 2 is a b-sides collection, at. best. No bangers like "tension" or "hold on to now" or "padam"

This album is amazing and surprising, loved how you dissected it in such detail the layers and instrumentation. I think Kylie’s dance pop genre is so colourful, fusing so many elements of disco, EDM, clever lyrics and beautiful dreamy vocals makes this so listenable and rich. Can’t wait to see her on tour! My oh my, it's the only song on this album I can't stand. Her voice in this song is so distorted that it's headache inducing. And I mean, I really get a headache. It must be a frequency that I'm sensitive to. I LOVE TENSION II 🩵💚

Some say her songs have become simplistic and TikTokified. Perhaps, yes (they’re quite short, to fit the recipe), but it’s a great piece of work. It’s one of her best albums.
