My Father used to work as a garage attendant at the esso garage on new king's road, Fulham next to the hand and flower pub opposite brittania road and maxwell road and Dudley Moore was a regular customer filling up his rolls royce, and got on well with my dad. I was named after him with his blessing.

My mother suffers from PSP. It has been the same situation for her. Years of misdiagnosis until a neurologist properly identified it. It’s a horrible disease and the decline is painfully steady. My heart goes out to everyone who has ever dealt with it and especially to Mr. Moore for sharing his personal story with us. Like my mother, he will always have a special place in my heart.

I saw them around '91/92 in New Orleans at Tipitina's on a Tuesday night, but they played on the Monday, too, which was aired by Tulane University's radio station and I recorded that one. Gordon read a part of Thomas Mann's Magic Mountain, which he'd been reading on the tour bus. I tried to read the book, but probably needed to be on a tour bus with no other options. ;) Both nights were amazing shows!
