I wish we could go back to the where are they now & speak to the idiot announcer saying that Marc Andre shouldn't have been first so the penguins could get someone else & save money on Marc Andre later on & how Marc Andre wouldn't be an impact player for a while as he transitioned from the eagles to nhl.

Ottawa in hindsight looked awful after this when you consider how stacked the draft was that year: Chris Pronger, Paul Kariya, Rob Niedermayer, Jason Arnott, Jocelyn Thibault, Adam Deadmarsh, Saku Koivu & Todd Bertuzzi also went in the 1st round just to name a few.

just wish Dale Tallon could've shared in the glory. he said Kane and Byfuglien at least called him from the locker room during the 2010 celebration. I'll always remember Tallon's reaction shot after Kane's backhand hat trick goal on Luongo in 09 to finish the Canucks. a man who knew he'd brought his team a superstar. hearing Tallon w Foley on one of Pat's last broadcasts, he was brutally critical of the modern failhawks, but when he'd mention Kane and Toews it was like a proud father.
@paulwt97834 ай бұрын
Tallon got his name on the Cup and a Cup ring for 2010. Hawks were gracious enough to at least do that after pushing him out.

The "Ryan Leaf" of the NHL-Daigle had no discipline/drive-had no work ethic and didn't seem to care. He was quoted later as saying he didn't really ever want to play hockey in the NHL but once he got the huge contract Ottawa was dumb enough to give him simply went through the motions. And he was an idiot (once being taken off a plane for joking about a bomb being on board) Mike Bossy also came out of the Quebec Junior Hockey League and was "cocky" but Mr. Bossy was determined to live up to the expectations put on him--he worked incredibly hard/gave credit to his teammates and went on to a HOF career (including 4 Stanley Cups and 9 straight 50+ goal seasons). Too bad for the Senators that Daigle was the complete opposite

The best day in Pittsburgh sports history. I don't know where this team would be without Sid The Kid. Been to 4 Stanley Cups and Won 3 of them. Only loss was to Detriot in The 2007-08 season. Has won 2 Con Smyth trophies in the 2015-16 Playoffs and 2016-17 playoffs. Won 3 Ted Lindsay Awards in 2007, 2013, and 2014. Won Two Hear Memorial trophies in 2007 and 2014. Won Two Art Ross Trophies in 2007 and 2014. Won Two Maurice Richard Awards in 2010 and 2017. Won 1 Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2010. Has played in 8 All-Star games his last being in 2019 and was known for one of the most memorable goals in Canadian sports history known as the Golden Goal to beat the United States 3-2 in an overtime to reach and earn the Gold Medal in the Olympics. Anything that I missed let me know but off of memory I think I got it all lol.
