I choose this dialogue every time I play durge. Depending on what his path is, I'll sometimes choose the, "Thanks for being nice to me" line afterward. This time... he doesn't GAF about people being nice to him, he just wants to get to Baldurs Gate by any means possible so he can rain tragedy down upon the person who destroyed his mind. Hateful Vengeance (not evil, more ambivalent to everyone else in his way.) It's been opening up some dialogue I've never seen before. I love this game so much.

She's a cool character. She is just trying to survive in her own way like a highly intelligent animal, but sees others as prey for the most part. Just kind of in her own little way.

Instead of getting stuck in conversation, imagine she disappears while we switch the camera to a different area, and Wyll says she just left in a hurry or something along those lines.

honestly speaking, we shouldn't be able to beat aunty ethel... the first time we killed her, she revived because we didn't burn her shrooms/horcruxes/shroomcruxes (which she hides in baldurs gate)... then when we fight her in baldurs gate we can end her for good by burning her shrooms.... now... why would she put her shrooms in the city that has plenty of adventurers and dangerous magical beings... and then when she notice that a few people in the city are banding up just to kill her, why didn't she moves the shroom away...

I think it's just a major sidequest that got axed due to time constraints. Reading the journals, talking to people, etc, implied that there were three hags working together, presumably the 2nd was suppose to be met in Act 2, and the third lived in Baldur's Gate.

Eh, she thinks living long and having lots of magic power makes her a undefeatable godess or something, her arrogance and over-confidance was her doom, she thinks all these adventurers are weak, so she isn't afraid of them coming to her. But the thing is, she is lucky that origin characters in this game got huge nerfs cuz of the parasite in their head or cuz of their past, for example, if Gale didn't lost 99% of his magic powers, he would kill this evil hag in millions of different ways.

My only problem with dark urge runs. You cant go dark urge on strong evil characters. Only on weak mfs. From that point on I realized whomever our supposed "father" was despite already knowing who he was. Was a WEAK and PATHETIC mf. Going after someone weaker than you isnt as glorious as a mortal torturing tf out of a god

Ethel might be the best Version of an evil Hag in Videogame history. She is cunning and well aware of what’s going on around her. She twists the wishes of people into something horrifying for her own gain and amusement. Attracts desperate people with false promises and spreads blight and misery wherever she goes. Seriously. She is absolutely terrifying.

Nah but Hags love to corrupt people. Be they pure and good or have that itty bitty seed of evil in them...be it violent thoughts, obsessions, doubts, etc... they love to corrupt folk into metaphorical and literal monsters. So what she's saying is she wants to nurse that in the Durge like a mother or grandma teaches a child to bloom...so to speak

Ethel innately knows things she shouldn't (she knows things your companions probably haven't even told you at that point in the story, such as Astarion being a slave that fed on rats), so its safe to say she knows you're a bhaalspawn.

She's still very arrogant. Used to playing with her toys/food. She can detect the tadpole, but she doesn't know its true power. Though if he realized she was in the presence of the child of Bhaal, I think she'd be a bit more wary. She's powerful, but there are limits to her magic. Hence why she's "killable" in Act I.
