Love the band of the Bugles and Rifles! So much zest and spirit❤️. The Gurkhas such a fine body of military personnel (just being careful as I’m not sure if there any female Gurkhas? Seen female officers I think). They are wonderful to watch, and by reputation fearsome! Keep these posts coming. Best wishes from Cornwall 👍👍👍

It’s hard to tell. Female Gurkha officers definetely exist. The government tried to recruit females in 2020 but the Nepal government demanded talks on the issue. As of 2021 talks were still ongoing - can’t find anything more recent than that

Hi AFV, and many thanks for another superb video and coverage. Unfortunately, for me, I wasn't able to be at that because I got taken to a "railway" event instead. I'm really glad to see from your video that this Windsor event actually went ahead because the weather looked very dodgy! As always, your efforts are very much appreciated.

Thanks Mike! Oh awesome to hear you went to a Railway event! Was it a steam or Diesel Show? Yes, I’m very surprised the weather stuck out to be nice for this!
@MikeM14-407 күн бұрын
@@ArmedForcesVideos7 Hi AFV, this one was Diesel, on a preserved railway in Essex. It's one of 3 that I go to reasonably regularly with my friend Steve (who you met once) which we can drive to and get back from in a day. The other 2 are in Hampshire and in Kent. These days we tend not to ride on the trains but to go on a long country walk and see and hear them from the outside, with visits to the stations to buy refreshments and any good pubs we find on the way. Anyway, fingers crossed for some reasonable Windsor weather before too long!

Hello Mike, nice you could go for that show, but no video of the Diesel Railway event?🤔😃 Have a lovely week.
@MikeM14-407 күн бұрын
@@AlbaAlba-fg2io Hello Alba, no unfortunately I didn't take any video of the diesel railway event, because for most of the time we are walking in the trees and there is not much opportunity to get a clear view of the diesel locomotives running at full power, although they can be heard. There is also a very low speed limit on all our preserved railways. This is only 20 miles per hour, which is about 30 kilometres per hour. The locomotives only pull a very short train of passenger carriages, so they don't use a lot of their available power for very long. I am looking forward to seeing and filming more bands as soon as we have some dry weather.

A very good welsh performance, but in this video i notice the trombonist is Irish, he has a blue plume on his bearskin, isn't it? Beautiful marches, one of my favorite is Colchester Castle!! Thank you for sharing, for your good job as always!

Hello Alba, yes the musician with a blue plume is from the Irish Guards band, but is playing a Tuba (a very large brass instrument) not a Trombone.
