Great Podcast. Legend guest. I met Mick twice, once at a weymouth meet and once at a french vs UK thing in about 2013. I really appreciate that he's stayed true to his roots, not changed his formula or beliefs, been ultra consistent in service. The one thing I think wasn't mentioned which is probably the biggest thing Mick brought was the Lure Forum, WSF was mentioned but the Lure Forum was iconic in its hay day. The lure forum, set the standard for online fishing stories, sharing information, good etiquette...its iconism stays with me to this day and is yet to be matched..better than any book or video...I attribute my fishing career to the lure forum and Mick and Co with out a doubt.

Hi Matt Yeh the forums are an often missed part of the UK history in fishing love them or hate them they were certainly game changers for most! Cheers for the comment

TLF - That's a blast from the past Matt. I made some good friends through TLF and the bumbles were always great to attend. I have to admit that the ''What chaffes your arse?'' thread was one of my favourites.

@@mrfishjersey Hi Mick - Yep, some of those posts were comedy gold. When you were recounting the fight you had with your Oman GT, I remembered a photo that you posted in your Tobago report. You were sitting on a rock, after landing a snook. You were a bath of sweat and you looked absolutely phucked. I can't imagine how you looked after playing a 100lb GT 😂 ATB

Brilliant Podcast episode. Great to understand how Ben's brain works. So many landmarks in my fishing can be attributed to AOF and Ben. First proper lure rod, Diawa Ardito bought from the St Merrin store, along with some Ecogear glass minnows..cracking lures, glad they are coming back(hopefully), second milestone was a Skyroad 8ft 6 from wadebridge, Mark sold me my first Zonk from plymouth.

Thanks Matt Ben is very instrumental in the growth of our sport, and a lot of lure anglers would not be doing what they are today without the likes of Ben and the AOF

David, thanks for the reply and I agree with your comments. Fishing and fishermen do talk openly and often say things in a way that could cause upset. I commented because others might hear stuff and switch to a more gently programme. I believe that we need to keep things raw and honest but the looks I got from their mum prompted my comment. The shows are new and fresh and we will wait for the next one.
@TunaGearАй бұрын
We value feedback like this as it helps us to refine and improve the show. Sorry for upsetting mum. The next episode will drop next Sunday at 7pm. Thanks once again.

Hello lads, Its great to listen to the chat and I have done a lot of boat fishing in the UK and Portugal for tuna and marlin etc. I have a couple of youngsters who listen to everything and then ask me to explain the tactics and rigs that you use and this chat is a great way to enlighten younger anglers about fishing. The only problem is the swearing and that is my only criticism. Good luck with chat
@TunaGear2 ай бұрын
@garryhall5203, we're pleased to hear you are enjoying the show and we appreciate your feedback. While we understand your critique, we are trying to create an organic, honest and unfiltered show that aims to pull back the curtain on the industry as a whole. It is incredible that you are encouraging youngsters to engage with the industry and we are so pleased that our content has been part of that exposure. We do ensure that we mark our content with KZbin on upload that it is not explicitly meant for children or younger audiences. However, we would love for you and the youngsters you have mentioned to continue listening to the show and we have had a chat as a team for a solution. We feel a good compromise between our vision and your concern is that we should add the relevant parent advisory and parent guidance logo marks to highlight your concern upfront for all listeners. Again, thank you for the feedback and continued support with the show. Tuna Gear Team,
