For anyone watching this video who’s considering a move to Horsham, especially if you’re interested in moving to the town centre where many office blocks are being converted into apartments often with balconies, buyer beware! Horsham town centre includes a significant residential population. For the last 5 years the town centre has been plagued by a large number of boy racers in cars & on motorbikes with attenuated, high decibel exhaust pipes, excessive revving of engines, unnecessary sound of car horns & high speed racing in excess of 60mph in a 30mph zone. The anti-social motorists make incredibly loud, disruptive noise every daytime but in the evenings & weekends the problem gets significantly worse. Numerous local residents have complained to Sussex police for years but they refuse to address this relentless anti-social menace. Residents who have complained to Sussex police have been told “it’s a town centre, what do you expect?” But one can differentiate between town centre through-traffic & persistent anti social motorists when the same vehicles appear then re-appear over & over again all night long. Also Sussex police have made other statements like “it’s too expensive to police Horsham town centre traffic” & “it’s always been like this & always will be, the best thing you can do is move.” One resident threw Sussex police a red herring, reporting to them that the boy racers frequently sound their car horns for no apparent reason, when in fact this had never been a problem. Within 24 hours this behaviour became a common occurrence, starting with directly outside the property of the person who raised this issue which continues across the town centre to this very day. This suggests one or more staff at Sussex police are feeding intelligence back to the hive of anti-social motorists & is potentially providing them with a “free” pass to continue with their lawless behaviour. Sussex police have told local residents we need to do their job for them. Gathering details of repeat offenders, their physical appearance, make, model of car, license plates, photos, videos & a slew of other details. Many of us feel we didn’t move to Horsham town centre to become volunteer police informants when Sussex police state they “may or may not” take further information, based on the information provided by volunteer citizens. Taking into consideration there are Sussex police leaking confidential reports from members of the public back to the street, we’re considerably un-optimistic about how such volunteer reports will be responded to by Sussex police, risking the possibility of no meaningful resolution to this hellish situation. If you’re thinking of buying an apartment with a balcony this comment is most definitely for you. You’re guaranteed not to find a moments peace. This anti-social motorist problem is Horsham’s dirty little secret but the impact it’ll have on your quality of life is monumental.

Anyone planning to move to Horsham, specifically the town centre & possibly the newly converted office block apartments, *think very carefully*. Be sure to visit the town centre on a number of occasions. Whilst the street theatre in the CarFax might present the facade of a pleasant, relaxed market town, unfortunately Horsham’s dirty little secret is a deeply ingrained anti-social motoring problem that just won’t go away & Sussex police refuse to do anything about it. Of course, any busy town centre will have its fair share of through-traffic but that’s not what we’re talking about here. As planning permission is currently underway to convert the Royal Sun Alliance building into 146 apartments, we advise you check out the junction it faces onto. 16 lanes of town centre traffic cursed day & night by a group of repeat anti social motorists, who have been allowed to act with impunity by a disinterested Sussex Police. When a member of the public reports an anti-social motorist (ASM) by phone to the police due to speeding the ASM’s see an increased police presence on the roads & send out a message in their closed social media group warning each other to leave the town centre. They frequently head over to the Tescos car park at Broadbridge Heath to get hyped-up on energy drinks & to take photos of their cars, with the front number plates removed which stay removed when they head back onto the public roads. Eventually, when the ASMs decide it’s safe to do so (it doesn’t take long) they return to the town centre & the same disgusting anti-social performance plays out again ad infinitum 🤢 You know the saying, right? Location, location, location! Sussex police say it’s “too expensive” to police this persistent anti-social problem. They say the public must gather photo, videos, license plates, driver description & send it to them & in their great wisdom they will decide if any “action” will be taken. Just imagine, after a hard day’s work you’re ready to kick back for the evening. Then, it starts. That…noise. Do you really need a second voluntary job as a traffic cop? Is this really the improved quality of life you’ve been looking for? Horsham District Council run the town like a business & are proud of it. But corporate practice in the public sector can only end one way: money comes first, people come second. Oddly, both Sussex Police & Horsham District Council could easily take responsibility for this obnoxious problem by installing traffic cameras with in-built microphones on the junction in front of the RSA building. This would allow HDC & Sussex Police to identify & fine the perpetrators. But that’s not good for business. And that’s why Sussex police avoid doing their job by not policing the persistent repeat ASMs with attenuated exhaust pipes from 6am until as late as 2am. Your lovely new apartment might have good double glazing but whatever you do, don’t open the window & definitely don’t go for one of the more expensive apartments with a balcony, especially if you’ve got infant children. That junction is a living hell but as Sussex police have said over the phone to local residents who the police have called-back the day after making a complaint about ASMs, “The best thing you can do is move.” And, “It’s always been like this & always will be.” Welcome to Horsham ❤️ Money well spent?

I should have read all the reviews on Google, Yell, Trust pilot and nice local first but only checked them after they become unresponsive. I have had the same experience as all the others. Quick to respond to enquiry and to pickup phones and then they ignore and DO NOT PAY, after much chasing I decided to give up and instead just leave this review to warn others. Choose another company with integrity.

Excellent video. Very useful. Everyone should be putting in this extra little bit of effort in order to save the planet. Anyone complaining it's "too much effort" is in for a real big shock when real climate catastrophes begin to kick in... They've got so used their cushy little lives and don't realise how short lived that will be.
