Not trying to be a party po0per but All of this trying to please google stuff worked a couple years ago, but since the past year, their algorithm has changed drastically. It's near impossible for a new blog to rank on google and get traffic just through SEO right now. I don't know why influencers are still promoting this outdated strategy of trying to get traffic from google. SEO is pretty much done for. I've been into blogging since 2017, and I'm saying this very responsibly. It would be better to invest your time and effort growing on other social media platforms and on KZbin. You'll have a much better chance of making income. All these bloggers that are still making big money are already established businesses, not just blogs anymore. They have developed big e-mail lists and lots of followers over the years when things were different (and honestly a lot simpler and easier), and now they sell courses and services to those followers. That's how they're still making good money. Nothing against it, but i think selling blogging courses specifically in today's time is being dishonest with beginners who are eager to put effort and make an online income.

There's just one thing I disagree with and that's the use of AI. I think AI is an absolute game-changer and we need to learn how to use it the right way. Granted, telling ChatGPT to write your article is definitely not it, but there are so many other aspects where it can supercharge our speed and content quality. While my process involves better, paid tools and more KPIs to track, you offered simpler ways of doing keyword research, which I appreciated. I have grown a blog to 60k monthly readers/ month, never having used Google trends, but the use of the tool is something I am 100% using with my own blog. Even with my knowledge, I have been slow to launch my site. I did pay an etsy seller (17th avenue designs) to install and add extras to a Wordpress template. If you have the money, just pay someone to do it. Dont let this one thing deter you. Delegate anything that you can afford to take off your to do list. If you want an extrodinary life you need to do things some people say are outrageous. Working extra hours for "free" for a year is the least I can do if it means it changes my entire life. Even as an SEO, I feel discouraged, so dont feel bad if you do, too. Once you understand SEO, you realize its rinse and repeat. Remember, people fail at this because they either quit, they dont have the info needed to get people reading, and they dont know how to solve an issue the reader has. We got this!!

Hello! Nell T shared your video with me and I want to say these are great and very timely tips. Everyone is confused right now and the blogosphere and a lot of people have given up. This advice that you offer is really Timely and will help a lot of people. I hope you don't mind that I paraphrased your tips on my Facebook so that people I know can read them. I will also credit you and Link back to you. I want to say also, the problem with the slow website load is the images. Not just the amount of images but the size of the images. It happens because so many of us are now uploading pictures that we take from our phones directly to our blogs. So ideally if the image size only needs to be 600 pixels across, but you are uploading a 2400 across image then WordPress has to scale that image before showing it and that slows load time. I would get a tech person to resize your images and make sure that going forward you only post images that are say 50K or less. The number used to be 30k but I'm sure that's gone up a bit with the speed of the internet having increased so much over the last few years. Anyway I'm really loving this and continuing to listen. Hello there, I agree with the idea that you should adopt the human touch and not use AI-generated content. That said, I believe although it's not quite there yet, it has incredible potential as an assistive tool. I noted the suggestion of being specific and saying "I did ABCXYZ", etc., BUT my dyspraxic brain is struggling to reconcile this with something you've said previously, that "Nobody Cares About You" - Surely, if this is true, then it naturally follows that it's better to avoid the use of first person? Or could it be that more people actually do care than we think, and after being drawn to a post, they might buy into the person behind it because of an authenticity? Or because the post resonated with others. Or because more people prefer the personal, the human touch to AI content. Still trying to figure this out, as I signed up to a Bluehost plan in the summertime... But the idea that "Nobody Cares" seems like a very cynical outlook to have, and with this in mind, I suspect that others taking the critical step would feel less motivated, or wonder what the point is. 💕✨
