I will always prefer Stelena over Delena! Both relationships were full of passion, but Stelena was much healthier and wholesome, they had more in common. Plus while they both messed up, I think Damon crossed way more lines than Stefan bordering on abusive behavior, while Stefan always let Elena make her own choices and he trusted her. Most of Stelena’s issues were external, while most of Delena’s issues were internal. Delena brought the worst out of each other, Stelena brought the best out of each other.

Stefan and Elena have such a strong and sincere connection, and their chemistry is palpable. Their relationship is built on values like love and complicity, which makes it so much deeper than the tumultuous relationship of Delena. Team Stelena forever ❤️

Neither ship was ideal one was the equivalent of being with a addict combined with a split personality disorder the other was the flasher of being with a narsassistic anger management needing adult baby so both are red flags in real life and neither would be excused as addicts, people with bad genes, anger problems, narassistic personalities etc are not let off the hook for there crimes by the law in real life yeah.

All the people in coments are comenting about Ian . Even the creator said in a coment that his personality is trash but in real life he is the sweetest guy. I loved stelena , they were so cute and stefan always did everything to protect her even for her brother, but as you can saw Damon changed so much in the series and he killed and did everything to protect elena. 8 years after the series ended and 3 more times fully rewatching it (along with the Originals) I can conclude that Damon always faked being good for Elena while he was only ever a bad influence on her. No matter how much Stefan and Elena tried they always failed to change him, it was the 4 months alone with Bonnie that truly had a positive influence on Damon. Becoming a vampire was the single worst thing for Elena, it irreparably damaged her character, she abandoned all integrity to desperately validate her relationship with Damon. She was good and genuine with Stefan, and if was his blood that turned her, she’d of stayed good and genuine.

Tbh i prefer delena but stelena were really cute together. ( pls don’t come at me for liking delena , it’s my opinion)
