I changed careers a few years ago and started back at the bottom as a 45 year old man. I was flying with a guy who recently retired as ATC. We were out on our route one day, and he turned to me and started talking about this scene an how it reminded him of us. "Pete, you know what we get to do today? We get to go flying!" From then on, that's what I like to say every time I head up.

@Jim Hamre Well, being a coach you really know the game. But I sort of feel the true spirit of the game is in the minors, or even on the sandlot. I remember the smell of the field when playing or practicing, riding my bike miles to catch a little league game. Got a free burger or coke for returning a fowl ball...those were the days.

I love baseball. Alway have. When I was a kid I owned this movie on VHS and always watched it, inspired to be a MLB pitcher some day but never made it past high school. But my team is the Milwaukee Brewers and I shed happy tears every year on opening day knowing baseball is back and I’m 25 now. It’s more than a game to me.

Yeah that was one thing that I always wanted from the game of baseball was to play some where on the field where there would always be action no matter what,and 3rd base I always got plenty,I used to get upset when one if hloit pitcher had heat and the batters could get around on his pitches and hit some facist ground balls my way,I really love the challenge of a ball coming fast trying to get by me into the out field it kept me keyed up and I'm the game...good stuff nothing like a wake up call...
