I entered the contest because of the format. Building different themes .... sounds fun. Getting votes in the comments .... I can get my friends to look at diecast videos and vote for me! Committing to do every build .... I'm in! So many rules were changed that the contest is no longer the same thing as what I entered. I know my builds are not the best ones, but I was having fun doing them, waiting for the videos, seeing everyone's cars, AND getting my friends to go to @diecastgraveyard's youtube channel and voting for my car. People who followed the rules, submitted builds, got their friends and family to vote, earned points, then had points taken away ..... that's not fair. Changing the rules of a contest mid contest .... that's not fair. Fair means being impartial and honest. Saying you're going to do something then changing it after people commit isn't honest. Saying that you think one person should have got more votes than another is not impartial. The contest has been unfair, not the participants. I think my last build was one of the best customs I've ever done. It would be nice to actually see it in a video and see what you and all your buddies think of it.

It’s got to be too much of a popularity contest. It wasn’t being voted on by how good the build actually was in my opinion. I have asked three of the best builders out there to be guest judges and from the third build on, that’s how it’s going to be. You are still doing quite well in the build off and I commend you for that.

What I would most like to see this instant* is a precognitive dissonant decadently descending down a deep ditch, delving into devilish district to have a cup of coffee with a paranoid clairvoyant in a futile attempt to gain coffee consciousness in order to interact with the caffeinated guru, Baba Java, and obtain any wisdom he feels appropriate to divulge in the late afternoon of the second Tuesday, of the third week, of any odd month where the Firemen's calendar has the model posed in a downward dog yoga position with the most peculiar smile upon his face as if he has some major esoteric knowledge which he simply can not share with any soul, and therefore, he is beginning to develop a superiority complex that by some miracle is actually making his life surrealistically simplistic. *Bear in mind that having achieve coffee consciousness on numerous occasions, my desires are hyper-flexible, and thus are in a constant state of flux, hence what I currently want, I may not desire in one hundred twenty seconds from now, and may not have any desire for said thing for the next approximately twenty-two sevenths years, or may yearnings may be akin to a Asian Ping Pong match going back and forth every one and a half seconds, or perhaps I just have too many commitment issues in regards to things I so desire.

I had totally forgotten about this casting until I just now saw it again for the first time in some forty plus years. Yet another RL this young foolish child had owned at one time, not knowing what happened to the majority of my die casts from my youth, but somehow still managing to have saved a few handfuls including eight Redlines. Unfortunately, not having a clue as to what I would be doing exactly to them in the long run, as an ignorant child, I wanted to paint some of my cars, and every single car I painted was a Redline, maybe because I liked the extra red line on the tires, I really can't recall why. Regardless I even had two of the Formula 5000 model, one being a Redline while the other was not. Well, guess which one I decided to paint. Yes, the Redline version naturally! Beyond that, I had also painted two Sand Witch models both Redline, a Monte Carlo Redline model, a Twin Mill Silver/Chrome Redline, while leaving its non-Redline counterpart alone, at least in terms of paint, and I had also painted a Chaparral 2G Redline, though it is missing it's spoiler. However, I did have two of the Silver/Chrome Rock Buster Redlines that had somehow managed to escape the wrath of my overzealous paint brush, although they are a little worn, so at least I had a couple of Redlines survive my childhood. I plan on restoring the painted ones to the best of my ability, and have just recently begun with the Sand Witch Redlines. I have them pulled apart, and have renewed the plastic windshields somewhat, but feel I could still improve them further. In addition to have two layers of red paint on one of the bodies thus far, but I still need to acquire some appropriately sized screws for all of these neglected Redlines. Anyway, I am excited to see you breath life back into this Superfine Turbine, and perhaps catch a few pointers along the way, so thanks for sharing your hobby with a bunch of complete strangers. I am sure that many, like myself, do appreciate your videos.
