I've spent 20 years studying and teaching Muay Thai and MMA. I plan to study these books and add Krav Maga. I will create my own modern style of Ninjutsu. Ninjutsu seems to be the original mixed martial art as it incorporated all things that assisted their missions.

4:26 Ninjutsu is very much a martial art. It is the most comprehensive martial art that I am aware of. 5:20 Those are not ninja scrolls. Those scrolls were written by samurai in the Edo period, way after the reign of the ninja had been shattered by lord Nobunaga's Iga invasion, many decades before. 14:20 The best translation for a ninja, is concealed warrior.

Studied Ninjutsu for nearly 20 years, Soke Hatsumu , Shoto Tenamura and SKH are all Legitimate Masters of Ninjutsu. recognized as national treasures in Japan (Hatsumi Soke ). Toshitsugu Takamatsu was soke's teacher and his GM Toda was once a sword instructor for the emperor of Japan. Our scrolls and documents are much like menjo- not meant for everyone. so I can understand why you weren't granted access. it is imperative that in the spirit of budo we show an open hand to all Martial artist. However, some western mindset clash with Japanese values and societal constraints. a lot of my Buyu teach all asapects of Ninjutsu. but with our curriculum we have a bevy of unarmed as well as armed ryuha to get through. so forgive us if we aren't always playing in the "the woods, fields and streams". Soke and tanemura went to court over the sokeship of several schools passed on by Takamatsu, where the scrolls were proven real, intact and legit. as a reasearcher I would caution you to do your homework before speaking on subjects that have been proven false in the past. best regards...

@@7NEMISIS Thats been blown up already. The 1969 version of the Bugei Ryūha Daijiten states that Takamatsu's Togakure-ryu "is a genealogy newly put together by Takamatsu Toshitsugu, who made use of (took advantage of) the popularity of written materials on ninjutsu after the Taishō era" and that "there are many points where it has added embellishments, it has made people whose real existence is based on written records older than is actually the case, and so it is a product of very considerable labor".

@@JustinPrime85 nothings been blown up. Lmao Takamatsu soke was the inheriter of the 9 ryuha, he held menko kiaden in the kukishin ryu and Hontai Takagi Yoshin ryu. No disputing that. Our lineage has the only traceable sokeship from the progenitor to new obtained sokes. Our research has validated Hatsumi Soke claims. At this late stage people are merely pointing to Gi soke and Dai re sokes as grounds to talk ish. Smh. Sorry dude old argument we have been put to bed.

traditional ninjutsu. move silently unseen hit the target with lethality silently unseen leave no trace. done over with. fuck the fraud Hatsumi etc followers with a MILLION useless moves that are unrealistic. teach total destruction of the eyes throat and organs along with the joints and limbs. blunt force trauma. several attscks all at once to these targets. i state this tradition in my book. pull off a BASTARDS nuts also. bite out the throat or easily jab a finger into the eye then a sewing needle up through the nose into the brain. metal shavings into the eyes ie metsubishi. crush the collar bones with downward hammer fists while stomping the knee backwards. Cummins is doing a good job, though he bases all his facts from documents and scrolls, tangible evidence. But he needs to understand that not everything was written down. Im pretty sure he knows the Japanese culture well enough to know this.
@southernknight9983
@southernknight9983 5 жыл бұрын
No. He doesn't understand ninja at all. He down right slanders the name. He is even trying to oppress the word, ninja. He completely limits himself in his understanding of the ninja way of life, to samurai scrolls about ninja, who were long defeated and scattered abroad. You won't learn the heart of ninjutsu, from samurai. Only from surviving ninja and it has survived.

If there is no distinction between samurais and ninjas then why do samurai families these days still hold grudges against those who came from ninja families? I also heard that ninjas were considered low as warriors and considered as thieves because they used dirty tactics in combat and traitorous act of espionage, a defiance of bushido.
@lesteru.6588
@lesteru.6588 10 жыл бұрын
***** Well, that's only for those who gained fame through duel death matches or gained high ranks in a han/feudal domain and that doesn't apply to all ninjas or samurais per se. I mean, not all shinobis who trained in ninjutsu will be treated as high as how a samurai is treated in a society and not all samurais will use dirty tactics in combat like what most ninjas do. As spies, most of them are not samurais but either merchants or gardeners in a castle. Get your facts straight.
@lesteru.6588
@lesteru.6588 10 жыл бұрын
There is a big difference when the status is real and not just a disguise. Disguise is just temporary and fake. Real status will usually last long. I already knew that deception is necessity in war however, there is such thing as chivalry (loyalty and honor) among knights, and samurais fit to that code since they have bushido. Most samurais fight face to face and fight only when their opponent has a weapon. Most ninjas don't care to massacre anyone who hinders (especially during night raids) even if they see that their potential victims are totally innocent. The important thing to them is they complete their mission. Treachery is acceptable to ninjas (especially if they are serving a daimyo as spies) but not to samurais (it will make them commit seppuku). The times a ninja will commit seppuku are when he failed his mission and when he was caught by the enemy.

It is a real shame that mr. Cummins is shunned by the bujikan. I started out my training with this organization, but after reading antony's two books, I find it very hard to continue my membership with this organization. I will continue to practise "samurai budo jutsu" for self protection, but I consider myself a true ninja by adhearing to the shoninki and the bansenshukai. Thank's antony.

Islapbeechs apparently you never learned how compound words work... are PINEapples made of wood? or come from pine trees? NOPE so i guess your semantic argument has been defeated by a piece of fruit. in case you decide to delete your comment to hide your shame : "Martial means war. Its derived from the Greco-Roman god of war Mars. Espionage, assassination and sabotage are techniques applied in warfare therefore Ninjutsu was and is a martial art."

Great vid! I am a ninjutsu practitioner and (sort of) Bhudist myself, wish I could adhere to the "don't worry about time of day" concept lol but I work 6 days a week and have to be up at 7 in the morning lol! Also my particular style of Bhudism/ Shugendo sees all living things as equal (a blade of grass has as much right to exist in the universe as a cow or sheep or human being!) therefore I have no qualms eating meat (the fundamental law of the universe is that the EVERYTHING will be eaten by something else be it a predator scavenger element or microbe)!
