I'm 70 too. Hard to imagine current pop having the instrumental skills of BJ Cole

Is that Simon Nichol playing the Gretsch? It kinda looks like him, and it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, all things considered.

Why is the line “we are billion year old carbon” omitted throughout the song? It should read “we are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon, and we got to get ourselves back to the garden”. That line is vital to the song. That omitted line sums up the human race to perfection in my opinion; we are all just recycled molecules of carbon.

This is music, which transports REAL FEELINGS, building up a real atmosphere - and DONT need any Sequencer, drumcomputer or Autotune! Would you agree with me that music from those days has been MUCH MORE honest than today? Those guys who wrote and performed FEELINGS what they had - and they are able to transmit these feelings into the heart of every listener - WHO can do the same today??? and THEIR song doesn't wear out at all - it works today, just as it did 20, 30 or 50 years ago, in an indescribably heartwarming way. Even though hardly anyone can write such songs today, we can still count ourselves lucky that today's technology enables and guarantees the PRESERVATION of this music for an almost unlimited period of time.

Such a good song and sweet steel guitar makes it : Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge CSN Fan, but this is sort of like Clapton redoing his own song in totally different styles, Love 'em both. Something very Rare IMO. I came upon a child of God He was walking along the road When I asked him, where are you going? This he told me I'm going down to Yasgur's farm Think I'll join a rock and roll band I'll camp out on the land I'll try and set my soul free We are stardust, we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden Then can I walk beside you I have come here to lose the smog And I feel just like a cog In something turning Well, maybe it's the time of year Or maybe it's the time of man And I don't know who I am But life's for learning We are stardust, we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden By the time I got to Woodstock They were half a million strong Everywhere there were songs And celebration And I dreamed I saw the bombers Riding shotgun in the sky Turning into butterflies Above our nation We are stardust, we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden We are stardust, we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden We are stardust, we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden

I don't mind saying,, I like THIS version of the song,,, better than Crosby Steels & Nashes version (which was the original version). It's not too often where one likes the second version of a song,, better than the first version,, however I most definitely like this,,, "second" version to the song Woodstock much better!

I feel sorry for this generation, they have nothing compared to the riches we grew up with. Funny thing is, back then it was just normal to have music like this. Now days it would be incredibly exceptional.
