Those 'spiders' aren't really spiders, they are called daddy long legs, but they don't have segmented abdomens like spiders do. The ones crawling around in that cave are known also as harvestmen, they are arachnids, but more closely related to scorpions. They don't make webs and bunch up together into a giant ball and if it makes people feel better some harvestmen actually eat spiders. They also don't bite, because they lack fangs, they're completely harmless. I used to play with them as a kid.
