It is a long story to tell, but I have just watched la la land for the first time. I saw an glimpse of me and my highschool lover. We started dating senior year of high school. I thought that he was the one, love of my life and everything I have ever had. But We were’nt happy. We wanted to pursue our dreams with different paths. I wanted to be an actress just like mia ;) and he wasnt so supportive because of jealousy. One time he said “you cant kiss another man for your role “ and cried. I hugged him and relieved him but inside, part of me realized something inside me is broken and it can never be fixed. He wasn’t going to accept me, what I want to be in future wasnt his business. He just wanted a girlfriend who doesnt kiss another guys for just “roles” , thats all. I thought he didnt care about me;) It has been 8 months since we broke up. While we were making closure speech, he said “ I love you more than I love myself so I am letting you go, make your dreams real, be an successful actress…. That time, It was an excuse for me but now I realised he was meant it. He really wanted to this happen. sad part is, after we broke up I met a guy who is strongly and strictly against my acting career:) I was so exhausted that I didn’t have a change to say “I chose myself, I dont care what you think, go get a girl who is on a same page with you, I’m not your cup of tea BRO” I accepted, no one was going to love me if I became an actress. So I kept my silence. He was overprotective btw, so my goals were just GOALS that is not spoken;) I broke up with him 6 days ago. Now by chance, I watched that film and last part of is a flashback for me. Im sorry to make you feel disappointed, I tried to change my goals just FOR A BOY, but the boy wasn’t you. You can ask “If you could change, why wouldn’t you do it for me?” I dont know, maybe my love wasn’t enough, Maybe I was an immature kid who doesn’t know what to do in future; I really don’t know. I hope you can forgive me. you let me go just because you love me, It is my responsibility to make my dreams real for the sake of your sacrifices.
