The ending is a lot of memorisation so if I'm honest I'm not even looking myself. It's a lot of timing mixed with muscle memory.

@@Daedalus89 I'd say start by jumping down to the RPG then clear the water first then start with the top of the bridge and the back room. Then circle the other building (with the Battlelord on top) clockwise. Something I will note is there are quite a few ways to get onto the bridge that I found on this level I can drop a link on discord if you want?

I never even thought about jumping through the window at blue keypad after grabbing the PB vent secret instead of running back through the blast doors. I gotta remember that, would shave a few seconds more off.

The entire Drone sequence is hard as hell, getting him to shrink you asap (f this part), not dying to him on using steroids and not dying to the doorclip. I got one in on it but its 2 seconds slower than your godlike run trying to get him to shrink me. 😂

@@Daedalus89 honestly this run is really annoying since the door clip is so specific. I actually didnt have much trouble with the drone shrinking me. One thing that actually helps manipulate his behaviour is shooting him from afar then moving closer as he starts the animation. Because hes much higher than you it's pretty much the only attack he will try.

@@Fire_trail_snail He almost always kept running off on sight for me, even when trying to bait the attack by shooting him into pain state and when he did go for the attack I swear it's like he'd purposely miss. Just bad RNG I guess, I'll chuck up the one I got and will definitely try it again.

@@Daedalus89 you need to shoot him to reset his ai basically. Making them flinch from gunshots makes them shrink if you're far enough away.

@@Eiyaa90 I'm playing on the atomic Edition and I'm running it through Pkduke! Pkduke is a custom version made for speedrunning, hence why theres a bunch of stats on the top of the screen.

Shrinking yourself to hit those portal switches is a cool strategy. Blum really has a fetish for eggs and Sentry Drones in his maps, you can't even ignore the eggs to get the mobs in those mazes cause they hatch on sight. Proper annoying to 100%/Max% it.

@@Daedalus89 yeah I tried to max% this map a little bit ago and I actually have a strat. Run forward and get the chain gun, kill the troopers, then get up top and grab the RPG from the enforcers. Destroy the eggs as you go.

@@Daedalus89 that was E1M1 yeah lol. The doors are too thick to be shrunk under or to even trip clip. So far this is the most structurally sound level I've seen so far.

I honestly never even thought about making him splash himself to death, like I didn't intentionally do that in the WT map I was just glad he wasn't able to hit me. This and the "headshot" stuff stacking, no wonder he died so fast. I'm blaming Doom for that, Cybers are immune to their own splash. 😂

@@Daedalus89unfortunately it doesnt work with hitscanners because their bullets pretty much hit you 100% of the time if you are too close to their hitbox. The Overlord is also weird because of the place the missiles come from. It works on the Cycloid so well because the missiles have to travel further up meaning they have more time to actually hit him instead. Also I'm sure you know that Steroids boost the mighty foots damage.

@@Fire_trail_snail Naw, I mean player hitscan "headshots" though I can't see that working cause the extra RPG/Devastator splash damage stuff is just hitbox jank. I did read somewhere that the game does have damage falloff but that's something else entirely. Yeah, another thing I didn't realise till about episode 2 on the mighty foot buff.

@@Daedalus89 ah I see what you mean now yeah the hitbox thing does work with hitscan I believe. I went into detail about the Ripper cannon and the Shotgun somewhere talking about all of its damage values and such and I believe I did mention damage drop off.

@@Daedalus89 it's a really small area to fly up unfortunately so its difficult to get a run where it doesnt happen. Also this trick is insanely hard for me since I'm trying to use a mouse and keyboard when I have no experience lol. I'll get it though.

This is pkDuke right? You ever have the issue of Windows Defender deciding to delete the .exe by itself outta no where? I had it running a few days totally fine then it decides its a threat, try to redownload it and Chrome blocks the download so I gave up. It sucks cause Megaton alone has that same issue with the mouse scroll (Holoduke and Steroids for me) as WT does where it doesn't respond unless I mash the hell outta it. pkDuke fixes that. Also, I think the quality messed up here because of the slime texture in the bathroom killing the bitrate. Doom's fireblu texture does the same.

My Pkduke doesnt randomly get deleted but it does get flagged often as a threat because windows will flag pretty much an .exe file and it doesnt help that the project isnt signed so it looks like malware to the antivirus. Where did you download pkduke from? Mine just has issues with closing.

Spoiling myself watching this but I gotta. Also, you were right about those Drones noclipping on Derelict. So many places they can do it, worst part is I almost beat it with a decent time and one of the two in the final secret (underwater, under boat the path I'm running) clipped through the wall you did in your Any% run. I was pizzed, lol.

Yeah the drones probably suck ass the most because they're so glitchy. If you wanna be careful I wouldn't touch them until they're in a place they cant clip and the drone in the secret area, get him to claw you first so he stops in place then RPG twice.

The kill count is off at the end because it bugs out when it comes to slimers. You can get all of the RPVs from the top of the ship I'm not sure why I went low first. If I ever circle an area with the cursor its because it's where an enemy would originally spawn or something else.

@@Daedalus89OH yeah so basically you have to be strafe running. When you gather enough speed you can clip through moving objects that are going in the opposite direction. If you're too slow you'll get crushed.

@@vinnie4g63 theres another trick you can do in other versions of Duke Nukem 3D which can skip pretty much all of datk side. I think a run using this glitch is like 30 seconds max. Unfortunately it's not possible on World Tour though.
