How long have you had the hdz goggles. Worth it? I really don't want to buy dji.. but maybe i should just do it.
@astr0x5 күн бұрын
About a month, only used them with tinywhoops, but I got a HDzero freestyle v2 vtx in mail to build a 3.5" Grinderino. Penetration doesn't seem the best, the image into the goggles 2 out of the o3 is far superior, and penetration is great. First goggle?
@danelasota98575 күн бұрын
@astr0x I'm still just using a shitty eachine box goggle plus a gp11. So I had an 03 air unit and the goggles 3 on my work bench ready for a build then I saw videos about the black out issues the g3 were having (now they fixed it appsrently) I returned them to get fpv. That's what I hear about penetration, I might as well do it I guess. I am worried about latency though
@astr0x5 күн бұрын
@@danelasota9857 understandable, I have flown both on same day and I don't notice it much, the only time I noticed DJI latency was flying pretty far out in a open field. I don't think you'll be unhappy with the o3 I have five of them now, lol.

Have you tried using R1 instead of R8? You would probably get much better range. VTXs transmit with the most mW at R1 vs R8. R8 is useful in a city environment when wifi interference is present.
@tinywhoopfan6 күн бұрын
also if you fly in your car a lot a ground station on your roof would really amp up your range

This sounds interesting I'll have to research it.

How is that whoop holding up? I'm thinking about getting into HDzero and just curious how durable the VTX is. Does your Mobula 6 ECO 2024 have motor plugs? Loving the videos and the music! Thanks for sharing.

So far no issues besides a camera ground coming loose that I had to resolder. Yeah this version has motor plugs, the new HDzero AIO board looks promising I have one otw, hopefully have it by end of November.

@@ICEqbeGD I would pick up a radio (Radiomaster pocket is cheap) and start flying in the simulator, it really makes learning more forgiving. I also think building is great to learn, so you can fix or modify stuff. The Bardwell kit is great for this.

What video system are you using? As in goggles? And controller? I’ve got an emax tiny hawk and I love it, still learning but I’m ready to expand and fly a little farther, or connect a different pair of goggles, seems like the connection stability on the basic emax goggles are a little glitchy and haven’t learned how to change the settings for a clearer feedback

Mine keeps powering up to a black feed, but I noticed that arming makes it come back. Turns out mine at least was just disabling vtx for some reason. Besides arming you could also make it come back with the enable vtx stick command.

That's actually the behavior mine was having powering on to black screen, that's when I noticed my black camera cable was broke off the solder pad. Reattached it and it's been good since 20+ packs.
