Ryukyu didn't need the errata... yet. I feel like this one is just so they can continue to print blank foundations in future sets. I don't like this one. Smiling needed this hit. This is a better character now because it's still very good, but better for the game overall. I would always prefer erratas to outright bans. I think there's a way that you could have errata'd Risky to make it fair. Mbthe ability OPT, nerf the damage pump by half maybe. The cars would still work, and would still see play, but wouldn't just dominate like it has so far. TAI... well, it needed something, and since it's about to rotate, might as well just finish banning it, I guess.

I actually thought that making Ryukyu on trigger off attacks would work, but then did have the thought about #10 as well. Wonder if choosing between drawing or adding momentum could have worked better, but oh well. RIP Risky Maneuver. I swear I feel lately like anytime I start having fun with something strong, it gets taken out back.

I was the Ymir player but like you said it was a very aggressive game plan and when people were throwing huge massive attacks for half your health the idea is just take it. Ymir is the first life gain character that translates the damage your opponent does to dmg effectively meaning a poke turn against her is actively usually your death on turns 2-3. The idea is play as minimal defense possible and as for the lack of card draw that is why tetra is there saying it is actually 3 attacks not just 1. But wound/restore came up so often it was actually ridiculous especially in combination with besiege. But thanks for the feed back and thoughts!

I'ma keep saying it. No offense to Kevin but all the Erwin Smith character card gives for the deck is '+2 speed' on a death character. Broken death cards go brrrrr

1:33:30 don't ask "is there a better 3diff?" ask "would I pay 3 for bottomless Notts Flask?" Damage reduce gets better in multiples, and his deck didn't have another 3 to compete for space. It's a weird one but imo makes a lot of sense here

The MGLA Rodan was really good. It's a deck that takes at least 2 build turns, often 3, but it's both incredibly hard to kill and incredibly hard to defend once it starts beating you down. VME is naaaasty

Yes there was a version of my Godzilla list with 3 black abyss before, and in all my testing it did not pan out. I can't snap momentum easily for free (like Toga or Jiki) and you really want to be spending momentum for checks or other effects. I deemed +2 speed (kraken is primary target) trumps a +1/+1. I was thinking of 4 History's greatest and may go up to that in the future but I saw it enough on 3. As for your question about the Board Wipe.... I used it nearly every match. If I was ever at a deficit or the opponent had foundations I needed to remove en masse, I wiped the board. I played the ability very aggressively and I stole so many games (I only went first twice from die rolls in the whole 8 round Swiss). If I ripped grey and it had a few quality foundations (History's greatest, unmatched or forced quirk) I'd reset after a poke turn. It was exceptionally effective

the best way to beat rodahn is to play Byako and flip his entire stage

When it comes to the 4 check attacks I agree that cards like ravages are too much. I think 4 checks can exist in the realm of what like female titan is. I think having good build turns is a fine trade off for me committing 2 and my card is just drawing me a card. But ravages, disciplined, even unexpected can be too much
