This show was so huge at the time That Harold Wilson asked the BBC not to show it on election night for fear that people wouldn't go out to vote if it was on TV. I believe they showed it the night before or night after the election.

I've eaten dog biscuits from time to time just for the hell of it. Back in the seventies though. My teeth probably wouldn't cope now.

Them were the easy going simple days. I never even watched the news never mind politics. No worries.

Watching this in 2024 as these are the best comedies around at the moment. The world has gone downhill since back then. 🌷

I miss those days. Back then they were always out and learning. My grandad was one who had some right skills and tricks in all sorts, I loved it, thought he was the coolest going. Now days you take away their consoles and phones and ask them what they can do and teens and kids or even most young adults will have to think hard.

Nothing wrong with keeping birthday and Christmas cards. I lost my mum to cancer 15 years ago but I kept every birthday and Christmas card she ever sent to me. Seeing her handwriting is a reminder to me, it's like making a connection to someone that you loved that once existed.
