Thanks for this, I have a question: I see you get the whey straight from the cow (unpasturised) I have troubles finding raw milk, would the pasteurised milk work as well? I guess you probably need the bacteria pasteurisation would kill?

When doing a bokashi compost bucket system at home, what is the difference between applying EM1 spray directly on the food waste vs sprinkling bran innoculated with EM1? thanks

@@Kaiwaipermaculturebolivia Not for compost toilet, but just at home in urban area doing a double bucket system wanting to compost my food scraps. the ready made bokashi "zing" powder is a bit expensive and just wondering if having the substrate/medium does for the compost as opposed to just spraying liquid.

As you can now make it easily, just keep refilling. Can reuse the leachate if high quality too

I call it Lab. Lacto Bacilius. Activated rice water added to milk. It curdles after a week. I preserve the whey by saturating it with dark brown sugar. I then use dilute this mixture with filtered water to make a spray just like this guy. I use it in my Bokashi buckets. The garden loves the residue produced from the fermenting scraps. When the buckets full, I did a hole and bury it. The process just goes on and on. You can see the soil, the worms, fungus and happy plants going great guns. You can activate BIO Char with this spray or solution as well.

More of a pat on the back video than a real informative one on how to build a water filter system. So on that note, good job with the community help.

Great video! Not that I have built anything like you did. But I thought it might be a good idea to use a bucket custom cut to fit over float value lever so it could move freely. Put some holes in it and rocks on it so it wouldn't float up. Mount a pipe to it for the string line and float ball. Or spend $500 on a water softener.

Isnt this just a LABS recipe? I've seen videos on here of people making the exact same formula (letting rice water set out, combine with dairy, separate out cheesy stuff, etc), but they all call it LABS, or a Lactic Acid Bacteria Solution. From what I understand, EM is a mix of not just LAB, but also fungi and other helpful types of bacteria.

Great video. My only suggestion: label each part of the construction with text on screen or with voice over. Like "Making the mud bricks", then "Laying the foundation" and so on.. Alternatively just create chapters in KZbin Studio to provide those reference points. Anyway, nice vid!

I think an angle float valve installed at top of tank, and a pipe run to bottom, would be easier to access, service, adjust, and replace. Just a union on the fill tube will prevent having to cut the pipe during replacement. Also, using old cotton tee shirts with the mesh would protect the layers from mixing better. Just some thoughts. I really liked the video.
