It works but it draws lines between all points. Does not import 'points' as the title says "Import coordinates from txt file to AutoCAD". I tried substituting Point for Line but it does not work... maybe there is a special syntax for multiple and line to work. I have found a simple way though to import coordinates. On the command line type 'multiple' and enter key. Then type 'point' and enter key. Right click on command line and select 'paste' from the menu. You need to have copied the list of coordinates separated by comma. 100.0,50.0,22.4 120.0,55.0,26.5 etc I'm not 100% sure but I had trouble because of coordinates with no decimal point (I had to add), then imported ok. Also the last coordinate will not import without a blank line below it (need blank line below last coordinate copied with data). What I really want to do is import the point ID with the coordinates. Shocked it is so difficult in a big program like Autocad that basically must work from points. 3D civil does it I think but it should be an easier way in Autocad than using 3rd party programs and importing into block attributes... yet to get working.

Update Instead of 'Line' at the top, adding the following does work for points. MULTIPLE POINT ...and then data after clicking enter the points appear. But really it can be done at the command line via copy n paste of text - no .scr file needed. Maybe better for large data files though.
