No. Even with flawed movies too much can go wrong by a live action treatment. Far too much. Not that Titan A.E. is flawed, but we all have our guilty pleasures together with the ones you can admire openly. But... I would love to see more of that universe. As you mentioned, considering what this movie introduces, there is a lot to discover in the Titan A.E. universe. For starters, humanity jumps from homeless bums to the people that defeated the Drej, gained a new home planet and has the technology to create habitable planets? Not only that, but consider Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn, where the Federation develops a similar technology where they point out that this is not just a planet creating technology, but also a planet destroying technology. That will push humanity into the middle of all powers in this universe. The stories from that alone? Humanity will have to restore not only it's sense on what they are as people, but recreate it. On top of that, the Titan is just one ship. destroy that and humanity looses all power it has, so they need to build defences for the planet as well as the Titan. They will also need allies, make out their enemies and maybe find out that the Drej kept other bad guys away. The Borg, Daleks, even the Reapers would have stood no chance against the Dredge. It's not that what they have kept away has to be on the level of those iconic villains, I've listed them just to show how dangerous the Drej were. Or without the Drej some people might find that it's their turn to be top dog in the galaxy. I understand the desire from people to see their beloved classics done better than it was possible at the time, but in my opinion, they often miss the potential of continuations. Just like Hollywood does with it's endless stream of reboots, remakes and prequels. P.S. Have you looked closer at those evacuation ships? I did a rough calculation and think they are around 500 metres long and from the looks of it have more mass than the Enterprise D from Star Trek TnG. Quite sizeable ships I would say. Ans we saw how big the ships at that scrapyard in space were. While I prefer hero ships of the size of the Valkyrie, it's nice to have some big ones around.

I know!! Any spin off, sequel show, etc would erase the meaning behind their sacrifice at the end of the series and wouldn't make sense in the world! Although I didn't like the final season and would love it if they remade the final season, I know that isn't going to happen, but that doesn't mean I want a spinoff!

Costner wanted to do his own project "Horizon". He put it on hold so he could do Yellowstone with the understanding that during any breaks, he would work on his own project. Sheridan has so many projects on the go, that writing is constantly lagging (with or without the strike). Costner kept asking when things would be good to go but never got a straight answer. Once the strike was over he still didn't get any notice about when yellowstone would resume. He finally had enough because just like most people on this planet, we have to work and make money. JC do at least SOME research. THIS is what is wrong with channels and the info they provide. It's so easy to spread misinformation.
@DirtyD07
@DirtyD07 7 күн бұрын
It's not 100% Costner's fault. Sheridan deserves some of the blame as well. Costner signed up for a certain number of seasons, and Sheridan wants to keep it going. Costner wanted to explore his own projects, and rightfully so. Sheridan and Costner couldn't set either of their egos aside to find a resolution.
@Blerdcalibur
@Blerdcalibur 7 күн бұрын
I will agree with this take. The initial delay for the scripts being done was stupid because be stretched himself across 3 spin offs then the strikes happened and by then Costner was in full swing of his divorce and moved on to other projects

@5:39 My reaction to Emmett was the same as yours. I mean last season he hits Superman's son, and threatens Lois with a gun, and after finding out that Clark is Superman, he thinks that by exposing his secret that it made Clark less powerful. Like when did the conditions change? Hell yeah, you gonna be living in your car. He needed to be more like Kyle after Clark gave him the 2-piece fingers. You humble your ass, you apologize profusely, beg for forgiveness. We (the audience) are used to seeing low level crooks shoot at superman with regular guns upon chance encounter but this guy's stupidity knows no bound because he actually planned to see Superman with a regular gun. Timmy was just as dumb, both he and Jonathan took XK, Jonathan almost gets expelled from school, he's not playing football, and nobody forced Timmy to take XK. What you mean it wasn't fair? In fact I think Timmy was bragging about the fact that even though he took the XK and that at least he didn't get the whole team in trouble, something a long those lines so, yeah I fail to see how this is Jonathan's fault. I'm so glad the two are low level side character and not part of the main crew.

Honestly, I love how this is a very realistic depiction of what people finding out a secret identity would be like. Yes, there would be people who would be grateful. But there would also be idiots like Timmy and Emmett who would overreact to everything. Sidenote: That kid Timmy must literally be the one from Southpark if he was so braindead as to try and pick that fight.
