The kids was watching my TV and I don't know what they plug into it and it stop working I call a tec to look at it he says he cannot fix it after he open it and was trying to fix it I don't know what else to do I don't have no warranty on it .

Mine are mounted 3 inches apart on TOP of the garage door mechanism. They are aimed directly at each other, 3 inches apart. There's no way they can be out of alignment. I'll check the wires this weekend. I have lots of possums and raccoons in my garage, in the rafters. they have parties up there.

My problem was a back light issue. After trying most things this is what I did to fix my pos Samsung that is only about a year and a half old. With a open hand I hit the TV firmly, not hard, 3 to 4 times on the back, upper left area. Picture came back😊

Unfortunately none of the suggestions worked for my 85”. As far as buying a new one because it would be cheaper, this model is obsolete after four years and the replacement is the same price, over $4500. I can’t imagine that a tech would be more expensive.

The "reality" is samsung builds these tvs to fail in hopes you will buy a new one . Power cycling doesnt work , you usually have bad LED strips that need replaced.

Will the same principle apply to a Philips Roku TV? We have a 50” that we purchased less than 2 years ago that went black screen on us. I’ve been able to change channels on guessing where I’m at and still have sound. I can tell there is some kind of light as I can see the screen actually go even darker when I power off. Almost as if there is a small hint of bluish color when power is on.

I fixed mine with the same problem, this is how, Turn power off at sauce ,then with the remote in hand ,turn power back on whilst pressing the remote on at the same time, it worked for me after trying for a long time .good luck.

Thanks, this one actually worked, i began to lose hope because after the 40 sec wait I pressed the button again and it still gave the orange light but only once I tapped. Started looking for another tutorial video and suddenly the cyan light started blinking, now it works again!

I was watching my TV and the screen suddenly froze, then half the picture disappeared, and the screen stayed that way for a few seconds. I was able to turn it off and figured it just needed the usual unplug and wait 30 seconds cycle. But none of that worked. Whether I use the remote or power button on TV, the light comes on for about 5 seconds, fades out and then flashes a few times before stopping. Any suggestions for that?

My mom has a tendency of holding down on the remote power button too long when trying to turn on the TV. As a result, the Samsung TV won't go on unless I unplug the power cord and plug it back in. Does the Samsung TV go into some kind of power cycle mode or deep sleep mode as a result of her actions? The TV set was made in 2012.
