Did you damage it or is the fire from the wastegate?

Motor exploded. Junkyard motor went in, and had rod knock on start up. Junkyard told us to kick rocks, so we sent it.

I mean what are we supposed to think? Most shops already have encountered these problems and have a policy that you can’t provide your own parts and they must be ordered through the garage to avoid that headache .

Hello, I'm looking for an SR20 and mount it on a TVR Griffin tubular chassis and I don't know how to start the project, I don't know what gearbox to put in, I don't know how to make it work without having to sell my soul to afford it, thank you very much and I hope Can you help me start this great project 😊
@krmotorsportskilleen17 күн бұрын
The cheapest and easiest is to buy a SR with the matching gear box so you don't have to spend money on adapters.

Spray some penetrating oil and wait a day then Squeeze the plastic around the nuts with some needle nose vice grips? Not enough to crush the plastic, but just to hold the plastic.

Tale a finger drill and drill a small hole into the top of where the nut is located till you touch metal. While you spin the bolt fill the hole with a retaining compound or superglue then stop spinning and let it set. Fingers crossed the glue holds tighter than the threads. Happy hunting
@tom-rz4zg19 күн бұрын
Grab a dremal, Drill a 2mm hole through the plastic and just enough into thread retainer to pin it still with the drill bit
