I hope that by seasons end, Garnacho and Amad are conistently the starters on the left and right respectfully. I think being the first attacking option off the bench could do wonders for Rashford, getting to come on with fresh legs against tired defenders.

It’s a friendly. Can’t tell much about City without Rodri/Foden. So I wouldn’t go as far as to say “Pep can’t” anything. However, outside of the first 30mins, where the clear issue of Maguire, Evans, and out of position Martinez meant we just couldn’t progress the ball out of our own third, the moment we figured that out, from that moment on, I was very happy. Haven’t seen the Xg but there’s no way we should have lost the game. Should have scored 4 goals. But that’s football. When De Ligt, Yoro, Martinez, and hopefully Hermoso are the CBS, with Shaw, Ammas, Mazaroui Dalot, I don’t think you’ll see that first 30mins again. On the break and in the transition ~ excellent. And even showing signs that we’re learning to carve teams open with Amad, Mount, Bruno, Casemiro, Mainoo, Garnacho finally linking up well in tight areas. I was very happy. Sad to lose but I’m hyped to play Fulham. Something is cooking. It might not be a return to grace this season ~ but our squad is very young, and SOMETHING is finally happening. I didn't see it, we still can't build up from the back, we still don't understand how to hold the ball in the middle, we play it around the back a bit then just boot it all the way up. If we go into next season like this we shouldn't expect anything from this team. Eth has no tactical acumen we are the worst possession side in the league and rely on fast attackers and individual play, this has to be his last season at this club, van nistelrooy is a far better coach.

Let’s see him play a few games in the premier league before we get too carried away.
