I so appreciate showing a room with standard height ceilings. I wish my house had 9' or 10' ceilings, but it's a 1960 house with just 8' ceilings. This video is really inspiring because what Rita did with this room is charming and can be replicated in the kind of homes most people have.

How do you combine colors? How do you know checks and stripes and plaid and toile will work together? Do you use an app? Do you use a color wheel? Do you use a reference book? Paint chips? Petition a higher power with a burnt offering on a mountain top by the light of a harvest moon?

I think it’s just depends on the flowers. I don’t know what ones cause I did it as a kid, but I vaguely remember someone telling me that lol.

just one question rita, how do you keep grass or sisal rugs clean i would imagine vacuuming would just ruin the surface ?
