Now you need to film 79,-83, bike racing like Chris Mont, in the UK. But your getting better at it ?

How I wish somebody would bring back new air-cooled, drum brake 2 stroke motocross & enduro bikes. I suppose they could add a counter-balance shaft it would help with both comfort & reliability. How I miss the smell of Castor bean oil in the air!

Thinking about driving down from Oklahoma to race this weekend except we race quads. Are they any or very many youth and/or mini quads who come out to race?

I raced motocross for about 10 years and seen so crazy ass dads taking shit way too far! Fathers flipping out screaming bloody murder of their son didn’t come top 3 or got a horrible start! They lived their love for the sport through their sons but pushing their children beyond their abilities! They usually crash and get hurt because there riding way over the heads! It’s sad, let them have fun and the pros will rise to he top!

I wish I still had my 77 Maico 400 MC. It got the hole shots! I’m 71 years old now, but I’d definitely be riding here if I still had it. 👍🏻👍🏻🏍️🏍️ And I wish I still had my Malcom Smith leathers and could still get them!

That's a great track. It's a LOOONG way to the fence in case you lay it down or get tangled with another bike and swing real wide gathering it up.

I raced that race. In fact, you can see the front end of my 1981 Suzuki PE175 at 0:15. I was racing in the PV200 Novice class. I was probably standing right next to you at some point because my father and I were hanging out by the small creek crossing you videoed at 0:10 for almost the entirety of the Post Vintage race.

@@johnmathewson985 I'm used to racing against a bunch of youngsters, as well as my dad who's racing all those youngsters as well. It was certainly a different demographic at that race. I felt a bit bad for spooking you like that, but man was that a fun track. I'll hopefully be racing it again this year if I can manage to keep myself together.

It's funny how slow those old 250cc bikes feel. I rode a 1983 YZ250 about a year ago. the video is on my channel. It felt pitifully slow. That being said, I had just gotten done riding my 1982 RM465.
