Drive it like a Man. It will run fine..or get a 4 stroke.
@johnmathewson9853 күн бұрын
I own 2 other 2 strokes and this is the only one that has that babble off idle and pinking sound when off throttle. It does fine when I get on it. I'm just trying to sort it out before the racing season starts again. I have switched carbs to an OKO and have similar sound but the jetting is the same. My 1975 Can am 250 does not make that sound or my 1982 Fantic 240.

@Motofamilyracingteam no it was a friend who was racing against me. he was tring to pass and I was blocking, so it looked like his camera was going back and forth.

I actually had the same bike that I bought from a Spanish guy. The gear shifter was stripped. I took it to my foster fathers mechanic and found out the three of the four head bolts were stripped. No compression at all. I rode it any way. It was so bad that I couldn't get up the drive way. We had pin holes in the metal gas tank. We repaired them. We actually did a bunch of cosmetic repairs to the bike. I wanted to ride it so bad that I refused an offer that Miguel offered. I give my bike for a Harley Davidson 100cc that ran great. One of the biggest mistakes of my life.

Nice video! You made my day with the opening shots of the Suzuki RL250. I still have mine, I was the original and only owner. I bought it in 1975 from Dick Koo's Cycle in Harborcreek Pa. Just did a new top end and waiting for a few bucks to put on a new front fender. I don't see many of these I guess as a trials bike they weren't very popular until Beamish got them. I never rode trials but used it a lot of years for trail riding. At 73 it suits me just fine🙂. Thanks for the video.

Always want to support the hobby, but the "vintage" part of the title is suoer misleading. And TBH, that electric thing can go right into a woodchipper as far as I'm concerned concerned.

South West Vintage Trials Association would have 40 trials bikes 6 years ago and most of them vintage 1975 and older. Today we have modern classes and allow e bikes too. This video had about 25 riders, half were modern bikes. We did have vintage Yamaha ty250&175, Canam, Montessa Cota, Fantic 240. Unfortunately the vintage classes are aging out. I see the same thing happening in Vintage MX events.
